I just want to Express my gratitude for Showdown! The "take 3, ski Sunday free" offer has given my family the opportunity to open a new chapter in our lives! Best family christmas gift ever! It's allowed us an affordable way to spend quality time together, get outside, learn a new skill we'll never forget and give us something we can look forward to every winter!
The staff there is so friendly everywhere you go. Learning something new can be stressful or overwhelming. Fortunately the dedicated employees were so courteous and accommodating with everything! Helpful with all questions and very understanding!
The lessons were such a great investment! The instructors were the absolute best! The patience, ability, knowledge and most importantly passion to share what they love was such a great experience!
Completely above and beyond all my expectations! Big thanks and praises to 24KTrey, thank you for what you do! Getting teenagers to laugh is no easy feat'. Also props to Coach Seth for your bottomless pit of patience and kindness with my youngest! 🏂
Especially a huge thank u to the lovely lady who didn't turn us away after arriving with 3 minutes before the lesson started 😬😅!
You guys are all truly remarkable! The oil in the machine that make it possible for so many to enjoy Showdown! ...
Read moreSkied here Wednesday and would have given a five-star rating given how helpful and nice and friendly the staff was, how great the snow was and how good the runs were. But then we got our credit card charge for the tickets which were $68 a piece totaling $136. However, the bill was for $140.08. There was no mention of a transaction fee and so when I called I asked them if they had a tax and they said no there was a transaction fee. They apologized. But if there is sorrow, where's the refund? It was mentioned that there might have been a little sticker in the ticket window mentioning the fee, but I didn't see one, but of course I wouldn't be looking for one, Why would I? Who does this anyway as a successful business? It is a deceptive business practice and it is our practice to avoid businesses which have deceptive practices. We have already done this with a local pizza shop where we live that does the same. If they are going to do this, it should be spelled out on the website that there is a transaction fee for credit card purchases. Otherwise how can one come prepared to pay with cash or check if we don't know until we get their? This is...
Read moreWe live in Montana and have been skiing at Showdown since the 80s. We've always loved it and we'll keep going back.
We did have a situation during our last visit (December 2024) when we skied with a group of friends... all of varying abilities, sizes and ages. There was a bit of a hiccup for one member of our group in the ski rental process. It appeared as though it was going to put a damper on her ski experience (and by association, the experiences of the rest of the group). Enter, KATIE! (I'm not sure if it is Katy or Katie), but she swooped in like an angel and saved the day. She went way, way, WAAAAAY above and beyond to make sure that everything was sorted and that our friend had an incredible day on the slopes... and not just THAT day... but made arrangements for her future visits to Showdown to be equally as fantastic. I simply cannot say enough about the measures that were taken to assure satisfaction. I have never seen anything like it at any ski area anywhere. Thank you, Katie... and thank you Showdown for making EVERYONE feel comfortable, accepted...
