This place is a scam! Wait did I mention this place is a scam! When we first pulled into parking lot and saw the police we shouldâve made a u-turn. The management at this hotel scammed us for our money the first day. We booked two nights for $260.00 the first day the guy at the desk called saying we had to check out. When I asked why when we had a two night stay he said, â the $260.00 was for one night. I told him we clearly had a two night stay and to give me a copy of the paper I signed while checking in. He told me he couldnât give me a copy of the original form I signed but can give me a receipt. When I looked the computerized receipt it stated that I checked in on Friday 8/13 and not on Saturday 8/14 even the bank charge says 8/14/21. ||||We ended up staying another night because all the hotels were booked near Point Pleasant Beach. We paid for a double room for one night that costs $360.00. The people upstairs made so much noise that we had to file three complaints that night. Thank goodness we had video. The same guy at the desk when we checked in was the same guy who never did anything. This went on until the next morning. It was horrible. We couldnât get any sleep. I called the desk again that morning about the noise. I filed a complaint through Booking.com about this motel. The guy at the desk tried to even lie to the booking.com agent that there wasnât any noise. First the guy said he circled around the blocked in his car which was a lie because our room only had one way in and out. Then he said he walked on foot but didnât hear any noise. When asked how could he hear stomping from outside the room he didnât have an answer. Once again all of this is on video. Also, the guy didnât know that a family member was sitting outside in the car when he was supposedly doing all these checks/handling our complaint. ||||Even on the first night the guy said the outdoor pool was working which was also a lie. ||||The new owners and managers are very unprofessional. They have no customer service skills at all! ||||Even the police officer who was dealing with another guest complaint at the motel, told us not to stay here!||||You live...
Read morePulled in, seemed empty, quiet and looked cute. That was before they gave us a key and told us to drive around back. Thats were there are 2 other 2 story buildings. We went to the one to the far right. It looked sketchy. There was a truck with a missing tire on a jack in a parking spot and people kinda hanging outside their rooms for a bit. When we walked in it smelt of a strong chemical cleaner. To tell you the truth I think its just some spray that makes you "think" its clean, but I couldnt breath. I didnt give everything a good look because I told my husband I wasnt staying. Between the smell, the sketchy feeling, the dirty light switches and the guy above our room making noise already, I knew I wouldn't feel safe, clean or comfortable. I chose this place because it was close to a family member I was visiting. I took my son and stayed with them, my husband had to stay at this hotel because there was no room for him at their place. I wish I took my dog because the next day he smelt of the chemicals as well as our bags. I wanted to get out of there so fast I didnt think about it. My husband said the guy above him paced around till like 2 in the morning. As soon as we traveled back home I had to give my dog a bath from the odor stuck to his fur and wanted his paws cleaned etc. I had just stayed at another Red Roof 5 nights prior and was very happy there and have stayed at others in the past. This was the worst. Too bad because its right where I need it to be for future visits but I will never go back. Ps, the fridge didn't work good and the freezer didnt keep our ice packs frozen at all. I needed them for our travel back home, so that wasnt helpful. To think I was gonna stay an extra night too for an extra 100+$(I guess weekend prices)! Ha, RIP OFF. Wasnt even worth what I paid at the weekday price. Glad I didnt book the extra night...

THIS Red Roof is a lot nicer than others weâve been to, let me just start out with that.
We usually stop in a Red Roof Inn because they allow dogs, and finding a decent place to stay the night with a dog thatâs reasonably priced can be hard. We stayed at another one in NC recently that was⌠definitely not nice. The room designs looked cheap, the bathtub looked dirty (like literal dirt was in it) and none of us wanted to step foot in it, and the bed hurt my back. Though at least the sheets were clean⌠we could tell bc they were still damp.
So we hadnât been expecting much when we booked this one (it was last minute and we appreciate that they accommodated us in such short notice). But as soon as we stepped in there was already a difference between this one and the one in NC. The furniture is nice looking, the bed didnât hurt my back, everything is clean including the microwave, mini fridge, and shower (it was big too, takes up like 1/3 of the bathroom but as a bigger girl it was nice, and the water got nice and hot). A bit after we settled in the manager called and asked if everything was alright with the room.
And when there was a problem later (not going into detail but we think it was something from a previous occupant) we told them the next day and they switched our rooms within a couple hours :) The new room is just as nice!
If youâre in NJ near Jersey Shore, itâs a nice place to stay. Thereâs a lot of places to eat nearby as well. And I think weâre like half an hour near Seaside, so not too long a drive. Definitely recommend this...
