Crystal Springs Inn B & B — Hotel in Nevada City

You will know this place is special the moment you drive up. Jenn and Jodi are so welcoming and treat you like part of the family. Not to mention Dot, the fully enthusiastic four-legged greeter. The place itself is gorgeous with historical charm, thoughtful decor, and special touches like in-room fireplaces, crystal accents, thick fuzzy towels and yummy smelling bath products. My room even had a heated mattress pad which was sheer bliss on cool nights. Then there are the views, the property is surrounded on all sides by pines sending out their lovely fragrance in the sun. There is also a pool out front and a lake just down the road with boat rentals, which I'm sure is incredible in the Summer months. The location is perfectly situated in the Sierras just minutes from pretty much any outdoor adventure you can imagine. What really takes it to another level are the delicious family meals, porch socials, art nights and being immersed in the overall warm positive vibe that Jenn and Jodi have created. But words like family, warmth and kindness in one of the most siren tucked away paradises are the exact terms suited for this place and the staff. We loved our stay here, the hosts were so nice and very hospitable. Jenn offered to make us muffins in the morning, we felt like we were right at home. There were lots of great movies on dvd and the kitchen was well equipped. 10/10 would recommend especially if you’re on your way to Tahoe and I-80 is closed in...
