I've been coming up to this strectch of the North Fork for years, but always camping. I've driven past these lodges many times and wondered what the stay would be like. Well, I can honestly say that I didn't want to leave after my 4 night stay. I love this river and the cabins are in a perfect spot. It was so chill and relaxing on so many levels that I cannot wait to get back. For the $ spent it was perfect. Your not getting posh 5 star hotel treatment, but it was perfect to me because of everything else and for the $ spent. The hosts, Mike and Michelle were great! Very polite, very helpful, and easy going. The kitchens have all the basic ammenities, but if you want to make or cook something that requires additional gadgets, I suggest bring them with you. The tap water clean and crisp with no taste just the way water should be. If you want a rustic experience harken to the days like when I was young, this is the place. Not too many places like this left - keep it just the way it is. Can't wait to bring my extended family back next year. Thank you...

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. No TV and limited wifi, but plenty of games and puzzles to borrow for entertainment. There are convenient places to swim and fish in the river. It was an absolutely gorgeous place to relax for the weekend. If you are looking for the solitude and peace of the woods and river without the hassle of camping, this is your place. My only complaint was that our room had a smell similar to cigarette smoke when we first walked in. After opening the windows and door for a bit, the smell subsided. We found a cigarette butt in the bbq so most likely a guest prior smoked inside. Gnats can get inside pretty easily and will fly around the light fixture, but they really don't...
