Helpful staff. Nice resort/condo. Beds are hard (mattresses need replaced more often). We stayed in a 2 BR unit for a week. Enjoyed the area!

Currently staying here now.

Upon arrival the following concerns were present:

Some of the provided dishes, Pyrex, and flatware had food stains, caked on food, and some if not most provided with had a hint or obvious hard water stain somewhere on it.

The water when turning on the hot water smelled of sulfur (?) they sent out their maintenance to fix the issue.

(Let hot water water run out in the sink closest to the front door of the place. For approximately 5-10 minutes.)

Told to give a call back if the hot water still smells.

Later upon my return from coming back going out thought I smell sulfur still...

Next morning noticed sulfur in the saltwater my wife made for me to gargle (sore throat)...

Upon verification when the dishes and flatware were replaced I asked about the air filter being if cleaned or not as well. The air filter was clean but the initial cover was dusty itself. (Someone replaces the air filter but not clean the cover of the dust? Makes me ask if they clean the airways next if they cut already so many corners)

I am wondering if it is worth me trying to barter with the manager here about the downfall or they just apologize and say hope everything works out better next time.

Reading previous review about cockroaches infestation I cannot say I have seen any.

But then again my questions remain...

Is this really a “profitable” location?

Such questions reside at these questions:

When have or will these units be renovated with 1970-1980s jet jacuzzi tub?

What is up with “not” being able to fill the entire jacuzzi with hot water? Before it turned Halfway or competently filled the water gets cold... seriously? Granted it said in the guide comes with in the unit to use both hot and cold water. ( but why if it is a jacuzzi... isn’t that the point of a jacuzzi to be toasty?) Did I mention obvious hard water stains on the tubes pushing out the water and drain?

There is no direct Guidance on how many or what type of cups, plates, silverware, or etc... provided in the guide provided or what they should look like “clean or dirty”.

There was a couple broken pieces or “not perfect condition” furniture/wall marks inside the unit to include a clothes dresser drawer not opening or closing very easily.

Majority of the observations I have seen was mentioned but not everything.

Why should someone staying in a “resort” type location need to bother with so much hassles and stress?

Did I mention my question about why there isn’t a water softener?

Upon my complete stay of this “resort” my plan is to relay all my concerns listed in this post repeat copy and paste them ask why this is listed with the partners, associates, or club of whoever associated this as an adequate “resort” pending any change of heart or improvements I see.

If this place is concerned about their impact for others to stay there it must currently have an overwhelming low worry.

If they are actually concerned maybe they are on the brink of “bankruptcy” and can’t afford better accommodations and or more effective management of maintenance and upgrades.

Maybe I am wrong and it is due to overwhelming incompetence of proper actions and proper communication for expectations I had for my stay from the current designated management.

Am I willing to post a secondary if offered another stay for a fraction or none of my current cost I am paying now? Depends...

But at the end of my post maybe I am just obsessively compulsively distressed (OCD) about everything I had expected to “not” need seeing or...

Worst experience ever!! I have stayed here several times, but this time, will be the last. We traveled 5 hours, remind you. Check in was quick and easy. We got to our rental. Unloaded our belongings. I forgot to do my inspection, prior to unloading. As we sat at the dining room table, I looked at the floor and noticed some dead bugs. I got the broom and started sweeping. As I swept the perimeter, I noticed more bugs, some still moving. So, I decided to take a picture of the bugs, to confirm my curiosity. BEDBUGS!!!! I contacted emergency on-call staff, and he responded back in about 5 minutes. To my disappointment, he told me bed bugs can only be upstairs and not downstairs, where I seen them. He kept insinuating that I know nothing about bed bugs and I was mistaken. After going back and forth, he provided me with information on a spare room. So, we packed all of our belongings back into the truck. So, we went and got the spare key. We inspected the property, before unloading our belongings. Show and Behold, Harbourside had roaches, bed bugs, spiders, and old urine in the toilet. I sent a video of what we had seen to the on-call staff, and he did not reply, nor call. So, after traveling 5 hours, discovering bedbugs in our unit, loading back up, discovering bugs in the spare unit, we decided to go to Candlewood Suite. Candlewood Suite was exceptional, compared to Sandcastle Village II. I spoke to front desk the following day, which was Saturday and was told they were booked for the weekend. Highly disappointed again with this news, me and my family of 5, had to change our plans for the weekend. My Father's Day weekend travel was RUINED and all we were offered was a complimentary stay and a refund of my 3-day weekend getaway. Thanks,...

Where do we start. 2 bedroom unit with a loft and two-half bathroom unit. This could be a nice unit we stayed in had housekeeping been made to do their job. ||||We actually had to clean all the kitchen ware prior to using anything. The stove had baked on food on the one burner, we cleaned it which wasn't difficult. One burner didn't work and all four were off balance. There was food left in the sink. What we hope was lotion on the living room wall by the TV. Interesting how housekeeping staff left a note saying the unit was inspected? All easy fixes. ||||The living room floor and furniture had some much food, hair and dirt build up we vacuumed (see photo of vacuum) and filled the container. Food under cushions, in corners of the room and furniture marked up by a magic marker on one cushion. Again easy fixes.||||In the second bedroom we found a partial box of uneaten cookies in the drawer next to the bed.||||This is a no smoking unit, but two ash trays in kitchen drawer? Flashlight without batteries and only one smoke detector on third floor of unit which I believe is in violation of NC fire code? There was trash the master bedroom can, fecal matter in master bathroom toilet and the heating system in ineffective with you cold on first floor and sweating on the upper floors. Sliding back door blinds broken, never able to close for privacy and sliding screen door ripped at bottom. ||||Things we did enjoy, the whirlpool tub, the unit has washer & dryer and plenty of spacious room. The WIFI while we didn't need it was iffy. What is most disturbing is they will fine you for just about everything but not hold their housekeeping staff accountable. ||||The staff we did encounter at check-in and checkout were...
