The Giraffe and Safari Inn is amazing! The owners, Tiffany and Tony are warm and inviting. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The accommodations are awesome, especially the rooms connected to the giraffe enclosure, where you can feed a giraffe through a portal in the wall! And the animal encounters are so much fun. Animals: We did pretty much every encounter on the website, but the owners gave us a couple of special opportunities, like bottle feeding the younger giraffe and a baby water buffalo. And they don’t just have giraffes. The main area has pygmy hippos, 2 types of lemurs, sloths, kangaroos, sheep, goats, capybaras, shetland pony, donkeys, tortoises, albino wallaby, and a few more that I’m forgetting. In the safari area there’s zebras, onyxes, horses, several types of deer, donkeys, wildebeest, water buffalo, highland coos (cows) and more. We also did the snack with a giraffe for Valentines Day! While we were there, two baby lambs were born, and they were so cute. Accommodations: At the giraffe barn, there are 8 rooms, 4 on the top floor with access to feed the giraffes, 4 on the ground floor with giraffe viewing windows. We stayed in Majestic Manor, top left of the building. Majestic Manor is the giraffe-themed room (the other rooms have other animal themes). Sampson, the oldest/tallest giraffe, found us pretty easily when we put lettuce out of the window. The portal is just big enough to allow Sampson’s snout to poke through an inch and of course his long tongue comes into the room to grab the lettuce and carrots from you. Our room had it’s own A/C, heater, 55 inch TV, small refrigerator, Keurig, and its own bathroom/shower. Tiffany had our room decorated with a Happy Anniversary banner and provided us with a gift box with wine and treats. So, if you are celebrating a special event, let them know. The owners/staff: Tiffany and Tony make you feel like family, and we felt like we really connected with the owners. The animals are their passion and you can tell how much they love working with them. They are still sending us pictures of the newly born lambs even after we left. Details of our visit: 3-night stay in February. Majestic Manor room. Temperature: 30-50 degrees Fahrenheit. Booked all of the encounters available at the time. No kids with us, but other couples had kids with them. The only bad part was the rain and mud (1 day of 3), but you can’t control the weather. Tiffany called us ahead of time to tell us to bring waterproof boots. They rescheduled some outdoor encounters for the next day or moved them indoors. We had some mud and dirt, but hey, it’s a safari. And it was abnormally rainy in New Boston this year. Overall, our experience at the Giraffe and Safari Inn was fantastic! We connected with the owners, had some great encounters with the animals, including a few surprise ones. Can’t wait to visit again. We highly recommend going and enjoying the animals but definitely think you should stay a few nights if you want the...
Read moreOur experience at Giraffe Inn and Safari was truly extraordinary, starting with the VIP animal encounter. We had the chance to meet and interact with kangaroos, lemurs, a porcupine, and, of course, the gentle giraffes. It was an intimate, hands-on experience that allowed us to connect with these fascinating animals in a way that felt both educational and deeply moving. Carla shared fascinating insights about each animal, and we couldn’t help but marvel at the intricacy and beauty of God’s creation in each one. It was a powerful reminder of the wonder and variety of life that surrounds us. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about the animals. She was absolutely the best!!
A big shout-out to owners Tiffany and Tony for creating such a welcoming and unique experience. Their passion for the animals and the property is evident, and it truly shows in every aspect of the visit. After the VIP experience, we spent time in the petting zoo, where we fed goats, baby Highland cows, camels, and more. It was so much fun to feed and pet the animals, especially the adorable baby cows! Each interaction was filled with joy, and the atmosphere was relaxed, making it a great experience for all ages.
The guided safari tour was another highlight. Brandon took us on the tour, and his knowledge made it even more memorable. We had the chance to explore the property and see a variety of animals in a more expansive, natural setting. It was peaceful and awe-inspiring, offering a wonderful perspective on the beauty and diversity of life.
To cap off our day, we stayed in the Giraffe Barn, which was a magical experience in itself. Waking up to giraffes just outside our window was something we’ll never forget. The barn was cozy and charming, providing the perfect space to relax after a full day of adventure. We also had the pleasure of enjoying a home-cooked meals by Nicole. Her cooking added such a personal touch to the experience, and we felt truly cared for.
Giraffe Inn and Safari is a unique destination that combines fun, education, and an opportunity to reflect on the wonders of creation. From the VIP animal encounters to the petting zoo and safari tour, every moment was filled with excitement and awe. It’s the perfect getaway for families looking to connect with nature and make unforgettable memories. We left feeling inspired and grateful—and can’t...
Read moreWhat an incredible experience at the Safari Inn in New Boston! We stayed upstairs in the giraffe barns, and the entire visit was amazing. We celebrated our son’s 16th birthday over two days, and what an excursion it was!
The Sherp adventure was an off-road thrill, a true bucket-list tour where we traveled around the property, encountering a vast array of wildlife. Believe me, there's so much to see.
Our horseback tour was a highlight, with trails that took us through exotic deer and buffalo habitats. The camels were a delight, each with a big personality that made interacting with them so much fun. We were amazed by the variety of animals, including several Zonkeys, a first for us!
The Finnic fox and lemurs were absolutely adorable, and it's not often you get to see them. Although we didn’t participate in the sloth or fox experiences, they are available to anyone and add to the diverse range of activities. Bottle feeding the baby kangaroo was a special treat, and an unforgettable experience.
The food was another standout. They serve chuck wagon-style meals three times a day, and every meal was impressive. Dinner, prepared by a trained chef, and breakfast, cooked by a cowboy, were both delicious and memorable.
The family feel, the warmth, and the inviting atmosphere created by the owners, zookeepers, and ranch hands made our stay exceptional. It was wonderful to unplug and enjoy the serene environment.
I highly recommend taking the safari ride, experiencing the Sherp adventure, going horseback riding, and bottle feeding the baby kangaroo. Enjoy the views from the giraffe barn and make unforgettable memories with your family. The Safari Inn is a must-visit...
