Top of the Ridge Farm Bed & Breakfast — Hotel in New Durham

Wow 🤩. This is probably my favorite b&b that I have ever stayed in. From the moment my girlfriend and I walked in last weekend we were treated not only like friends but like family. After a long day we checked in at Top of the Ridge around 530 pm. The owners were so kind to us immediately, showing us around and asking if there was anything we needed. It had been such a long day up to that point we just wanted to have a nice quiet dinner and relax in our room. We asked if we could have dinner delivered to the room and eat there. Not only did they make a wonderful dinner of fresh Italian paninis with minestrone soup and salad and deliver to our room, they brought up a nice table and chairs and cocktails we ordered and set it up. It was like a mini romantic dinner setup especially for us in our room. And all on the fly. This epitomizes what the owners and the b&b are about. It’s a true labor of love and the attention to detail and customer service are 2nd to none. They go above and beyond in everything they do. The views are breathtaking and the food is absolutely some of the best we have ever had. We suggested that they open a restaurant. The food is that good! There is so much more I wish we could have done during our stay. They offer cooking classes, spa experiences and more. We were in NH to see the foliage but probably our biggest regret is not spending more time at the b&b. This place is that special. I can’t recommend it highly enough and would give it 10 stars if I could. Its Quaint, romantic, and had stunning views but the owners make the place. After only a few moments you feel like you’re life long friends. They are generous, warm and kind. They even made us an AMAZING breakfast (best pancakes you will EVER have) at 630am on the morning of our departure even though they typically do bfast at 8. My husband Tim and I cannot say enough about how amazing Top of the Ridge Farm is!!! This was the first wedding venue we visited, and the last – we fell in love with it instantly. As we walked around, we couldn’t help but envision ourselves getting married under the arbor with a view of the White Mountains as the backdrop. The breathtaking grounds—from the birch trees, to the fields, to the garden vineyard—all provided the perfect setting for an intimate reception, and, of course, amazing photographs!

What truly made Top of the Ridge Farm special, though, was Tatiana, Gino, and Margherita. They worked tirelessly to make our vision for an unforgettable intimate wedding come to light (and in less than three weeks!). Their thoughtfulness and attention to detail, from coordination and planning to decorating and setup, was beyond anything we expected, and we cannot thank them enough for all of their hard work. It made for an absolutely amazing and stress-free event that our guests could not believe came together in so little time!

Tim and I also stayed in the beautifully renovated New England farmhouse the nights before and after our wedding, and we’re so glad we did. Every aspect was well-thought out and provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, from the luxurious room and spa-like bathroom to having our own balcony to sit on and watch incredible sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. Tatiana also made sure we had freshly baked cookies to snack on and a delicious and hearty farm-fresh breakfast each morning, and was incredibly thoughtful and attentive.

Top of the Ridge Farm will always hold a special place in our hearts. We’re so grateful to Tatiana, Gino, and Margherita for helping create such special memories and an unforgettable start to our marriage. Tim and I are already planning a stay this winter (hopefully with some cooking lessons!), and know we will be back many more times. There is so much to love about Top of the Ridge, it's a challenge to know where to begin. First and foremost, a business is only as good as its owners and their vision. Tatiana and Gino (T&G) personally designed, planned, and renovated their lovely farmhouse to the tasteful, comfortable, and functional place to stay that is has become, and operate it with enthusiasm and with tremendous service. Our stay was a rare respite from our young ones, and this was a vacation that ended without the feeling that *another vacation was needed to recover from the first vacation. At the risk of writing a novel, the following, quick observations may aid your decision: If you enjoy a smartly done interior, you'll love Top of the Ridge. If you enjoy perfectly balanced breakfasts, and/or food prepared with fresh ingredients, and thoughtful flavor, you'll love Top of the Ridge. If you enjoy a carefully chosen rain shower that actually delivers rather than trickles, and spacious modern bathrooms, you'll love Top of the Ridge. If you enjoy unfettered views of Mt. Washington on clear days, you'll love Top of the Ridge. If you enjoy your pet, one room is pet-friendly, with immediate access via a slider to the outside, and the pet will be well accommodated by fellow dog lovers, T&G. And finally, if you enjoy conversation with two terrific humans (T&G) who are well-spoken, and world-wise, down to earth smart company, you'll love Top of the Ridge.
