As far as the campground and the facilities, I would rate it as average, probably three stars for the facility itself. Full hook ups and right on the Katy Trail. Campsites are all grass and the park looked nice on our first visit, as they were in the process of mowing. The grass had not been mowed on our most recent visit, probably due to recent rains. ||The one star rating has to do with an issue with one of the long-term occupants at the campground. ||Her dog was not on a leash and came into our campsite two different times, getting into our food we had set out for lunch. Both times the dog owner showed up, we asked her to please keep her dog out of our campsite as there is a leash law for the campground. Both times she became very defensive, belligerent, and cussed us out each time.||We called the campground owners, using the number posted on the payment receipt. We explained the two instances of the dog in our campsite and the owners behavior. We left a callback number to our cell phone. We never got a response from the campground owner.||Later that night after dark, the dog owners husband and another man walked into our campsite and confronted us about his wife and the dog. Her version of what had happened in the afternoon was quite different than what actually occurred.||I was able to defuse the situation and the husband and the other man eventually left.||So, if you don’t mind dogs running through your campsite and dealing with belligerent dog owners, consider this campground due to its proximity to...

Reserving our spot went smoothly. Leading up to the trip we also received a call confirming our stay and had our questions answered. Confirmation emails did state that power would be shared. Upon arriving we found narrow roads to the site. Though some trees were kept up and trimmed for fifth wheels we had several that were not. Even with maneuvering we had a section of hard branches that we could not avoid. Mowing did not seem to be kept up in the RV site area. Even the gravel pads had a lot of weeds growing up through them. After parking we quickly found that no matter how we positioned our camper there was no way to reach the power source and plug in. Our 50 Amp cord is 50 ft long so even with a shared box this should not have been an issue. Between the trees and lack of power we decided that we would not be able to stay. As there was not anybody on site I informed them via email that we would not be staying and why. I did not bash them or say anything rude, simply shared the issue of power and trees. I was disappointed to only receive an email that stated "thanks for letting us know." No offer for a refund, partial refund, or anything. Though I did not ask, as a business owner I felt this would be a time when you step up and offer or try and fix this situation. The website and emails could be more detailed in what to expect from the spot when it comes to fifth wheels and bigger rig. Just...
