My review Is based on what I personally look for in a campground. We rented a deluxe cabin for 5 nights and friends rented next to us for two nights, keep in mind 5 nights was $1,300+ so it’s not cheap considering we also have to bring everything, including chairs(we knew this going in and is typical of campground cabins)||||1. Grounds surrounding cabins are super small. We always bring a pop up to set up outside over a table. Absolutely no room. Our fire pit was at the base of the porch stairs and our chairs were set up right next to the neighbors car tire. We also had to go get our picnic table from another site and carry it up to our porch. No room for it to be anywhere else. Again, our preference is more seclusion so others might be ok with the closeness. We also had to call Maintenance and request a take so we could take the trash and pine cones from our site. Yes, they drop one off for us to rake. $275 a night service right there||||2. Our cabin and neighbors cabin were never cleaned. Absolutely disgusting. I’m not talking sand, I’m talking poop on the floor, tooth paste in the sink, eggs in the fridge, socks/lotion/binkies/hair balls on the floor And smoke alarm hanging from ceiling I’ve stayed in better maintained $50 night hotels. ||||3. Pools were too crowded and slide lines were very long but kids enjoyed the activities And riding bikes through the grounds. Kids did avoid the pools during the afternoons because they were too crazy for them But went during off peak times. Considering the cleanliness of our cabin, I cringe that my kids swam but I took my chances.||||4. River was very nice and our saving grace since we brought kayaks and tubes. We just brought the kids out to the middle of the river to play and they had a blast. We ended up renting the tent site below our cabin once we got there so we could have direct access to the river. Never paid $100 night for a tent site before but we had to make the best of what we were given and the memories provided by the site were well worth it, it just shouldn’t have been necessary.||||5. Loft definitely didn’t meet any safety standards I’m aware of. Access by a ladder (which is expected) but the top rung has nothing to hold on to so I ended up in the emergency room after night one from my hand slipping off. (Sprained wrist so not vacation ending)||||5. Our complaints were addressed by management with monetary adjustments but brushed off with comments such as ā€œbusy and a lot of cabins to flip for new rentersā€, ā€œwe have 100’s of cabins with lofts and no plans to change laddersā€||||6. We did make great memories(lemonade out of lemons) but my son did have to fall asleep in the back of the car the 1st night because he was so upset with the cleanliness.(a little OCD issues so again, we worked through the best we could). Although he had fun, his memories are not good ones. He is adamant he will never go back (sad experience for him)||||7. Throughout the campground is like a ginormous frat party. Many seemed to be having a blast so if that is your thing, this is the place for you. It’s not ours and is why we selected the furthest cabins away when we booked.||||Suggestions since the campground has potential.||||1. Eliminate some cabins and spread them||out. If you can’t manage the cleaning and flipping for next guests, reduce the number you are renting and the experience could be amazing. We shouldn’t have to start our vacation by cleaning for an hour.(not our 1st time traveling so we do travel with cleaning spray). ||||2. Add handles to top rung of ladder. Lofts are fun, make them safer.||||3. add safety railings to the loft||||4. Be compassionate/empathetic when guests have concerns. We dont care that you have a lot of cabins to flip, we paid a hefty price assuming you have your grounds under control. (Office staff and Maintenance crews were very friendly, management had excuses and even took another call while meeting with us)||||We did not allow any of the above mentioned to ruin our time. We really did have fun so hopefully the campground owners will read this as constructive criticism. ||||As I mentioned before, the campground has great potential to meet the needs of the partying groups as well as more laid back families. I’d be open to trying it again in a couple years with some pretty straight forward and reasonable enhancements. || ||Forgetting to clean 2 cabins for the next guests and management excuses are the reason for my 1 star. The memories we created were only due to our Positive attitudes and not by the accommodations we paid for.||||Pictures of everything mentioned can be provide...

This was our first time staying at Adventure bound in Nh. We stayed from Thursday to Sunday and booked the preferred rustic cabin near the welcome office. The cabin itself was simple as expected and very clean. For a cabin that allows dogs, there was no smell or animal hair which was nice as we didn't have a dog with us. Although the rustic cabins state online when booking that there is no Air-conditioning, ours did! I'm not sure if it is because it's a preferred cabin but we were extremely happy that it did, especially since Thursday was very hot and humid.

As for the location, we thought it was the perfect spot. It was close to all the amenities and a short walk to the river. We did scope out the entire campground to scout future spots and were not particularly impressed with the sites closest to the road on the campground as you can hear the cars and it's a hike to get to the center.

We travelled with our two children ages 11 and 4 and they had an absolute blast! The staff does a great job with the extra events on Saturday and my 4 year old was obsessed with the train ride that runs twice a day. The Manager who drive the train is always very pleasant and has great energy when driving the train, it makes a big difference in the experience!

I've read reviews that the campground is like a "frat party", we did not get that vibe. I got a live active campground with families and kids everywhere. It was nice to see kids riding their bikes and using the basketball court. We saw teenagers playing volleyball all the time and adults having a great time with horseshoe and shuffle board. I've been to campgrounds where those activities are underutilized and it's sad. This was not the case with this campground.

I also appreciated how the toddler splash pad was separate from the pool so I could feel comfortable keeping an eye on my little one while also being able to relax. The pools were also clean and well maintained. The hot tub was out of order. I can't speak to the inflatable slides as it was windy on the day we attempted to check it out so it wasn't up.

The snack bar has a ton of great breakfast and lunch items. The ice coffee and root beer floats are delicious!

Lastly, the river... it's amazing. We brought some tubes and lifejackets and had a great time! This was the highlight to our trip to be honest.

Some Cons: If I had to provide some feedback, I'd say a few things. Unfortunately there is a good amount of mold in the showers near the pool. I'm not sure if they're being cleaned often, there were Qtips in the showers and when I showered another day they were still there. I informed the staff and they apologized and said they'd tell their cleaning crew.

It seems like it's understaffed, we had to wait in line for over an hour to just get to the counter to do ceramics Saturday morning. By the time we sat down to paint, the activity was wrapping up. There was one girl doing the transactions and pouring the paint. We also wish that there were more activities Friday night and/or during the week. We arrived Thursday and the vibe was alot quieter of course than the weekend so the pool was not overcrowded which was lovely, however it would've been nice if there was ceramics or a movie night on Thursday or Friday. It would be a nice incentive to stay during the week for a longer period of time. We felt as though all the activities were crammed on Saturday.

Ultimately, we had a great weekend, I'm not sure why some reviews are so negative. At the end of the day, you're camping and you make the best of it, you make lifelong memories and enjoy the time with your family/ friends.

The staff was always pleasant and kind and you saw them wearing multiple hats to maintain the grounds so you can tell everyone is working hard. Yes, the grounds could use a little TLC. Maybe this campground is understaffed but the team is doing the best they can with all their guests requests.

My family and I may have found our new favorite campground to make memories year after year. We plan to book a longer stay at Adventure bound NH...

Arrived at the campground about 15 minutes after check-in time. Gave the ladies at the desk my name and was handed a map of the campground and was sent on my way. There was no information or directions to our campsite offered. Given the simplicity of the map, we found our site without incident. When we arrived at our site we found a family sitting around the campfire having lunch with no intention of moving. I called the office to inform them that there was another family on our site and we were told a staff member would be by to tell them to leave. A solid 15 minutes passed and we were not updated on the situation and were left just standing in the middle of the road clueless as to what our next move should be with 4 restless children. I called the office again to ask for an update and they informed me that the family was asked to move and we would have to wait until they were gone. We were given a refund for our first night without needing to ask which was very much appreciated. We were also able to park by the pool to allow the kids to play while we waited to our campsite to be vacant.

The site itself (204) was very small and had very little tree coverage. We have stayed at other campgrounds for half the price and double the space. It was extremely difficult to park two cars and we had one of the better sites for parking. The site was also very awkwardly placed on a hill. We had to rearrange our site 3 times to minimize our belongings rolling down the hill. Unfortunately, it rained quite a bit over our stay and because the sites are dirt instead of sand it was a mud pit. Everything was filthy and took forever to dry. Many of the other tent sites turned to massive puddles. The sites desperately need to be leveled out.

We were quite disappointed with the lack of activities during the week and the very limited hours for the store, arcade, pool and snack bar. The pool hours were 10-8. The snack bar had no set hours and the arcade was open 10-6. The water park area was kept clean. The river was nice but the beach is very small and also on a awkward hill. No activities are offered during the week and many of the activities offered on the weekend have an additional cost. This place is nothing like Yogi Bear in the 90s.

While enjoying the pool, we decided to stop by the snack bar for some ice cream. We stood at the window for at least 20 minutes before we were even greeted. When the man working finally acknowledged us, he told us it would be a ā€œlong timeā€ before he could help us because he needed to unload the truck. We decided not wait and spent our money elsewhere. I will say the prices at the snack bar seemed very fair but additional staff is clearly needed in this area. During one of the rain storms we decided to visit the arcade. Out of all the games only 3 were in working Order but we’re ridiculously over priced. The arcade was an embarrassment.

As aforementioned, the pool hours are quite limited so we were not very happy when we arrived at the pool at 10 AM only to be told the pool was closed for cleaning. That cleaning lasted for about an hour and a half. Given the pool is closed for 14 hours a day you Would think they wouldn’t be cleaning it during operating hours.

The golf carts for rent are probably the best thing this campground has however, we found the $70+ a day was steep and you can only ride between 8 AM And 10 PM. Also many campers seem to annoyed by the golf cart renters so be prepared for dirty looks. Maybe electric golf carts would be an upgrade as they make far less noise.

Overall, I would consider staying here again but only in cabin and on the weekend when there are more activities offered.

Pros:

Friendly staff Clean restrooms Clean pool area and playground Well stocked store with all the essentials

Cons:

-Over priced- spent $70 for a tent site on a weekday and another $70+ per day to rent a golf cart. -Limited hours for amenities -Small tent sites with lack of privacy -Tent sites are all dirt instead of sand this is problematic when it rains -Lack of...
