We visit yearly as my parents have a seasonal site. It is always clean, with plenty for kids to do.
The two star rating is because of how hard it is to get through to anyone to book a site. 3/4 of the time when I call, no one answers. Their voicemail message simply says a name something like, "Penny Oda." How do I know that my message will even be delivered properly?? I wish they would at least answer and put me on hold if they are that busy.
Neither their automated phone system nor their website mention hours of operation, so I never know when a good time to call is.
They need to offer online booking. We have busy personal schedules so it is not a quick thing to speak to someone on the phone to find the type of site we want during a time that we are free (pre-season booking is out of the question for us). It turns into a 15 minute phone call once I can even get someone on the line. The only other booking option is email. Email is convenient for some, but for others, it's an INconvenience to stretch a simple booking over multiple hours or days simply because no one is available to speak with. With as popular as this place is, who wants to risk losing a site by booking via email or phone message??
Truth be told, it's such a hassle to book a site here, that if it wasn't for my parents, we wouldn't return despite how nice the...

There are a lot of things there for the little ones to do which is nice, nice Beach. If you don't feel like cooking do not order pizza from CJ's it is nasty. We ordered it was late by an hour and a half and it was terrible. All the toppings were chewed up like somebody had already tried to eat the pizza and spit it back on the crust and the crust was tough and nasty. The faucet in the sink takes 2 hands to run it because it's so loose in twirls around in a circle we didn't have soap in there for 2 days. You Also may get locked in or out because the door is terribly hard to open. Other than that I had...
Read moreVery nice campgrounds. If you have camping kids, than bring em here! There are loads of fun things to occupy and expend all their youthful energy! There is put-put golf, a beautiful beach and lake, bicycles to ride and a huge play area, with tons of playground toys to romp on. For the serious cyclist or leisurely cyclist you are minutes away from the Fred Meijer Rail Trails. My wife and I road just under 100 miles this weekend. Your eyes will never see a boring thing along these trails. We cycled past stunning country land, with beautiful farms which graced the lanscape they set upon. We rode over bridges with beautiful streams that cut their way through ancient forests. We also rode through some quaint little towns that brought us back to yesteryear. We encountered our share of chipmumks, squponsls, turkey and deer...
