I used a extra week from Interval International to stay here. The first part of my trip was a girls getaway with 7 friends. The unit we were assigned (62) was right next to the Activities Center and in the middle of the 3 unit building. The unit itself is large and a great space for multiple people. It was clean and had some charm, but was really outdated and in need of fresh paint, new carpet and updated decor. There was an electric fireplace that was kitchy and provided heat. The master bathroom had a huge soaking tub, steam and a large skylight. The kitchen was large and useful, and the sectional opened up for another sleeping area. The hot tub was not working, so that was a bummer. The first night the entire town lost power around midnight, and the emergency call number informed us of it. Sadly, that did not deter the large party going on in the unit next to us, which continued until late in the night. When I complained the next morning they stated they would address it and urged me to call the emergency number if it happened again. There was not any more noise, so that was nice. You can walk around the property on the golf course path and that was nice. There is a little stream off the back of the property and 2 decks to use in nicer weather. We participated in tubing and dining at the nearby Bryce Resort and that was a lot of fun. The downside really was the outdated decor and splotchy repairs. It was clean and efficient. The second half of my trip happened when my friends left and my husband and 2 boys came. The space really was perfect for us and we all had lots of room to spread out. They enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub (which was fixed) and we enjoyed the steam room after dinner on one of the frigid nights. There were other kids playing in the pool but it was big and there was plenty of room. The washer/dryer in the unit was helpful for washing snow items. If I would've traded my Marriott week for this unit I would've been really upset as there was no comparison in the types of properties. There appeared to be newer/refurbished units farther down in the property, but when I inquired about them at the desk they responded that just the outside had been redone and all of the interiors were the same. I would urge SPM to put money into redoing the interiors and the property would be much...
Read moreTerrible service. Due to covid, the office notified us that we would pick up our keys/welcome packet via Dropbox. We arrived at 10pm and there was no packet. Called the after hours number four times. After an hour, they put me in touch with one of the office ladies, who was very annoyed to have to assist us. She said that she "would see if" they could get someone out to help us.She sent a member of the maintenance team, who let us into a temporary backup unit. He explained that he was unable to look into our reservation, but could get us into a temporary unit until the office opened on Monday. When we went down to use the lake property over the weekend, we were told that we needed passes from the office (which was conveniently closed till Monday). No one from the office attempted to come by our unit or contact us, so on Wed, we called. We were told that the office accidentally gave our reservation packet to someone else with the same last name on Friday. We were told that the GM attempted to call us twice. When we spoke with a member of his team, she stated that she had no phone number on file for us and only had an email. Once again, she had no explanation as to why the GM said they'd called us twice. She informed us that she had nothing to do with "anything " regarding our reservation and that we would need to speak with her manager Jessica never called. I left a message at the office on Wednesday afternoon. No one ever bothered to reach out to us about giving away our reservation and we spent the entire week in a temporary u nit. The pull out bed is broken and sags down to the floor. The AC only really reaches the bottom floor and the top floor is sweltering. There are yellow stains from the roof leaks and the couch SMELLED. We received lake passes for our lake vacation 5 days after checking in. Save yourself a headache and book with one of the other resorts in the area. It's not worth being stranded in the dark with two children in the middle of nowhere. Give your money to a member of the service team that actually cares about safety, communication...
Read moreI rented unit 22 on November 17,2017 for two nights. The unit is dated but roomy. The beds are inner spring mattresses, which you can feel. At first glance everything appeared clean. However, once we entered the master bath room we noticed wood chips eaten away from molding at the floor of the Jacuzzi tub. Within those scattered wood chips was mouse feces. I can understand that this resort is situated in the mountains and it is getting cold but seriously??? This obviously didn't happen over night. House keeping should have caught this. The absolute worse experience was getting ready to settle into bed and finding mice feces on my pillows and bedding. I literally could not sleep the first night and refused to share my bed with rodent feces. Since it was very late when we arrived with 3 kids, I decided to wait until the office opened to make them aware. I shared my experience with the office who made me aware that the general manager was also there for a board meeting and his unit also had rodent feces. The clerk was very kind and provided a "fresh" worn out blanket for our bed. I told her I would wash the sheets myself. That was the only way I felt confident that my sheets were actually clean and disinfected with bleach. Otherwise, the resort is located in a nice, private location. We had 3 stray cats on our door steps each night. One literally tried to enter our front door. Friendly little fellers...i am surprised that there are rodents with so many stray cats enjoying the resort.
I also stayed at the resort in unit 42 during the previous weekend. We had no issues with stray cats or rodent feces during that stay. We did prefer unit 42 because it had a main floor bathroom. Unit 22 had one bathroom upstairs and one in the bottom floor but none on the main level.
The kids enjoyed the indoor pool and had fun. Mom on the other hand was ready to get home and sleep in my comfy, rodent...
