Our family booked for the Labor Day weekend for a wedding and Black Prong gave us more than we could have ever expected. With over 20 of us traveling from all over Florida, we rented all 9 of their cottages for everyone to have their own space while still allowing us all to come together to enjoy the pool and have meals together while we were there. The cottages were impeccable with everything you could think you'd need and even more. The attention to detail is what you would expect of a 5 Star resort. Even all of our pups had a great time.

We rented their golf carts to get around to everyone easier and enjoyed the pool several times. There are bikes guests can use on the property however my hubs and I brought our own and we ventured out into Geothe National Forest for a 25 mile ride and had some deer jump out in front of us. The wildlife in the area is amazing. I'm a butterfly enthusiast and I've never seen so many Giant Swallowtails in one area before in the life.

Lia in the office was AMAZING!!!! She made sure we all had everything we'd need and went above and beyond to help whenever she was asked for anything. From my first contact to request information for booking until after we'd all checked out and left, Lia made our experience top notch and we can't thank her enough. The whole family has already agreed we will be back in 2022 for another Black Prong...

We stayed for three nights in one of their tiny homes for two. The home was super clean and equipped with everything you could need in the bathroom and kitchen... and it even has a washer/dryer. The bed was very comfortable. Since it has a full kitchen, we ate in on our first night. The other two nights, we ate in the Black Prong Bar & Grill on the property - the food was excellent; and on Thursday evening, there was live entertainment. Their happy-hour at the bar was very good as well. We did a horse trail ride, which was a simple ride through the adjacent forest. The ladies running the horse rides were very nice and it was a pleasant ride. We enjoyed the pool every day of our stay. There are towels and pool floats for use. The pool did get crowded on the weekend with lots of kids, but the pool is very large. The use of a golf cart during your stay is a fun way to get around the property. We tried the electric bike in the forest, but the trail was too dusty and hard to maneuver, so we gave up right away. There are springs about half an hour away, so we went on a guided kayak tour at Crystal River. We don't have a horse and didn't bring our dog, but it's a perfect get-away if you have either. And it's a great place to stay if you enjoy nature. The staff couldn't have been nicer during our stay. Our only complaint was that the wi-fi was a little spotty...

This is our favorite place to stay in the Florida area with our horses, but it is a splurge. They treat you better if you stay for at least a month. If you are a short term stay, don't expect great attitudes. We stayed here last winter for three nights. For a month, it ran us a little over $3,000 for a full hook-up site and two horses. The RV sites for long term stays are paved with a nice picnic area and BBQ. We got access to a locked tack room to store our equipment as well as barn stalls and a place to stack hay. Horses each got a large paddock in addition to the barn stall. There is a food truck that is available for lunch and breakfast. Guests get free breakfasts. There is a new restaurant with a bar as well. They need to add heat lamps and outside seating for the restaurant, but they are short on staff right now. I thought the food from the food truck was better, but hopefully the restaurant will get better in time. There is a pool and a free aqua exercise class once a week. There are regular equestrian events as well, mostly for buggies. You have direct access to the trails at Goethe State Forest from the property. The pool and hot tub are heated. They also have a free laundry room, free ice, and free bikes available on loan. They have lovely cottages that include once a week housekeeping. They have WIFI as well. The WIFI can slow down if the...

My husband and I had an amazing weekend at Black Prong Resort! We couldn’t believe we were less than two hours from the hustle and bustle of Tampa. The staff was amazing, with special mention of Cliff, who gave us a wonderful tour of the Property and helped us with our electric bikes, as well as Brittany, who provided excellent service at the restaurant. We were truly amazed by the luxury and well thought out manner that the tiny homes concept was executed. Our tiny home was perfect for two. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and it was very relaxing to sit by the pool, which was extremely clean as well. We played pickle ball, rode electric bikes, had dinner both nights at the wonderful restaurant on site, and enjoyed having our own golf cart to explore the property. We did not have to leave the grounds for anything, so it was truly relaxing. I cannot say enough good things about the wonderful ways that they are developing this property, and we will for sure come back with our children to enjoy it often. It was a very peaceful weekend with beautiful weather and fond memories being made. Cannot wait to see the future of Black Prong as it gets better and better. Highly recommend visiting Rainbow Springs nearby before heading home! 10/10

I booked an overnight stay for a birthday adventure with a trail ride as my focus. Everything about my visit was amazingly better than expected! I loved the gorgeous tiny home!! It had everything you could want, without feeling “tiny”! The grounds are beautiful and well maintained, the pool was perfect, and my early dinner was delicious. It was storming at my morning ride time, but Emily stayed in communication with me and updated the ride time according to the weather. It was well worth the wait!! My mount, Sarge, was a gorgeous gentleman and we enjoyed a peaceful, scenic walk through the forest. The guides were super friendly and the horses are obviously loved and well cared for, unlike most “hack”-type riding stables. After the ride, I booked an E-bike rental, which was a little scary for this 64 year-old, but exhilarating! Overall, a memorable experience for sure!!
