What an incredible picture perfect experience we had! Immaculate cozy home with large extremely well appointed rooms; we got the big one; could have brought the grandies. Mim, the very helpful host not only directed us to some of the most gorgeous views of the huge lake and surrounding hills, a hike to a working sugaring house and pond with a paddleboat on a high meadow with the views I’ve mentioned, she also made me delicious, maple leaf shaped VEGAN waffles, and then she found and sent me a small valuable lost item. The little village has a tour boat you’ll want to catch and a Thai Restaurant you won’t believe is not IN Thailand once through the door; literal chef’s kiss there! I needed a place to stay when visiting family during Covid because their college student was staying in the guest room. Mim greeted me and led me up the stairs in her beautifully renovated house to a large room with two queen sized beds, bath with Jacuzzi, fridge. What got me next morning were the views of sunrise over Lake Memphremagog. Little puffs of cloud were riding to Canada a few hundred yards away on a gentle South wind. It was cold in the 20’s most mornings but the room was comfortable. Breakfast starts with a muffin, fruit and strong coffee and is followed by local meat, syrup from their sugarbush, and other warm treats. Price was excellent. Perhaps the view from the top of her farm track, by the Pond House... you can see into Canada, and across Lake Memphremagog over to Newport. Beautiful and stunning scenery whatever the season. ||Perhaps the comfortable and well equipped room. We have always stayed in the chocolate room. Two luxurious beds, ensuite bathroom with jacuzzi type bath and shower, fluffy towels and good toiletries. Propane stove, air conditioner, microwave and refrigerator. Television and DVD player - a whole library of films downstairs to enjoy.||Perhaps the breakfast. Endless coffee, home cooked muffins, fruit salad, and each day a different cooked breakfast of the highest quality.||But certainly the personal service, and the great value for money.
