Mystical Creek Pool Lodge 600 — Hotel in Newport

First of all, not sure how long my review will be posted. I have seen other people's reviews similar to mine and they've been deleted . We just returned home from our wedding vacation. Staying at the mystical creek, cabin. We rented the cabin, so we would have room for all family and friends, However most friends went elsewhere. The cabin was infested with bugs and cockroaches. The cabin had not been cleaned for quite some time. There were dead bugs everywhere, including live bugs, in tubbs, beds, showers, windows and even the refrigerator. The cobwebs and dust above the kitchen cupboards Looked as if we were in an abandoned place. There was food stuck on the walls and cupboards. Other guest cake topper still on top of the fridge. Christmas poinsettia and decorations were still in the living room . When the oven was turned on it was smoking from so much grease in it. When using The shower upstairs,we where not sure where the water went, in the wall?. Or what but it did not come out of the showerhead. There was a coffee machine just no pot. The pool sticks were either broken or had no tips . The jets in the jacuzzi tub did not work all the time just when it wanted. The blinds on the windows were old and falling apart. If you are planning on using the theater plan on bringing DVDs , or it will be useless to you. However the view from the front porch was beautiful and the cabin was secluded , i was super embarrassed that I brought family and friends to stay here. I tried to call aunt bugs and talk to them about this, instead of a negative review. I thought they may want to fix the problems before the next Guest. However I was just another Individual that would be forwarded over and over and now to management , and told repeatedly that they had some one clean before we got there . not even an apology. We rented this cabin way back when covid first hit. Somehow the review I wrote back then disappeared. So I thought I would write another. When we rented this cabin the hot tub didn't work. The heated indoor pool was not even warm. The theater room didn't work. And the worst of it were the bats living in the attic, especially above the bedroom where my grandbabies were suppose to sleep. The smell of the urine and feces left from the bats was horrible. Aunt bugs sent a repair person, but this guy didn't fix anything. I take that back, he did get the hot tub to work one time. I voiced my complaints to aunt bugs, especially about the bats with no response. We used to exclusively stay with aunt bugs. But we will never rent from them again. We are pretty easy going and do not complain. Especially over small things. But this cabin was a splurge and was fairly more expensive. The problems with this cabin...

I emailed Aunt Bugs Rentals the first day we were there with my concerns. We rent several large places throughout the year and we have not had an experience like this. It was not cleaned well. The floors weren’t vacuumed on the carpeted room, dead bugs in all the window sills, cobwebs and dirt through the cabin. I never heard a response from Aunt Bugs to the email. Our pool was not working the entire week we were there. We contacted the owner and was supposed to have it working by Thursday. The owner did respond and sent someone to look at the pool (but did not fix) and to fix the hot tub as well. The hot tub was only out for a day.
