Driftwood
What I liked
Price for this unit is fair
Location. Beach 5 min walk.
Service response was immediate
Mini house concept is awesome
Everything needed for stay provided
Excellent communication
Friendly community
Beautifully designed and comfortable common areas with view and amenities. Really well done. ( the Lodges)
Well maintained area that is quiet and tranquil, as it is named. Great parking.
Free laundry machines after 7pm.
Called their service number regarding shower hot water and they responded immediately and fixed it with a smile.
What can be better
The particular Driftwood unit needs refresh, paint and exterior interior refresh.
There is a mildew smell, possibly from shower area that leaks onto floor. The refresh may fix that
I smashed my head a few times in the bed area. Better if they painted that trim a different color, it's very tricky up there in the loft. Ouch.
Wifi barely worked in the unit, frustrating but there was great wifi in the common areas ( lodges). No streaming YouTube in the unit.
Overall great value, location and service. Perfect beach access. Safe, well lit and close to everything but also just far enough away to be tranquil and peaceful. I like it and give the stay five stars. Next time I would pick another mini house ( park model) many of which look newer...
Read moreI was so excited for my time here but was under impressed. For the price per night and having to book two nights, $300 is a lot of money! It was not as cozy as I hoped. The couch that was in my tiny home was made up of small blocks of foam that even for a child would be uncomfortable to sit in (I had the green home w the trees on it). I would have been better to even have a bean bag chair in there. And although it wasn't dirty inside, it didn't feel clean. There was hair on the floor AND inside the bed. I found this ironically funny since the sheet on the desk spoke of being charged extra for leftover messes. I also didn't appreciate paying extra for my dog to stay only to find a note inside the house about how dogs weren't allowed in the bed. Nothing about this was mentioned before I payed. I ended up leaving a day early because I felt so uncomfortable inside. The idea of renting a tiny home sounded so good and it was rad to be able to walk to the Beach but next time I'd rather camp...
Read moreTiny homes are cute, however, if you stay in a rental, the regular folks don't like it and they let you know it! The Evergreen was very small (I know, a tiny house), but didn't have an operational fan. The one above the stove is the one I'm referring to. Unit was overcome with cobwebs and didn't really feel clean. Windows didn't close in the bathroom. The couch in the picture is not the couch in the unit. You can't sleep on that couch! It's like sleeping on the floor. No Screen Door, so the unit had to stay closed up. Kitchen set-up not very functional. Could add some things to be more functional. Price paid was too high for what we got. Josh does try to accommodate renters. He can't control the homeowners at the property. I will not stay there again, even if it is in a nice tiny home. The vibe you feel...
