The stay started out on the wrong foot right in the beginning when the front desk person couldn't accommodate my request to put mt my cooler keepers in a freezer so they would be ready for my coolers the next day. This was the eleventh stay on a 2 and half week vacation tour and this was the first time this request was turned down by a motel. These keepers help keep me from raiding the icemakers to keep my food and drinks cold. He said the freezer was overfilled and there was no room. After check in when entering the hallway near the elevator and inside the elevator, it looked like someone with dried mud on their shoes had stomped about and dirt was all over the carpets. When we got to our room, I noticed some serious wear on the furniture, especially around the fridge. The doors and framework had a lot of wear as well and we noticed the mattress, while clean, was worn pretty good too. The bathroom had no kleenex and there was an odd stain near the toilet paper holder which we actually noticd that evening which we didn't even think about touching ourselves. The place just didn't seem much more than average at best. Even our TV reception was the pits and would go off and on during the night in the wee hours. The next day we went down for breakfast. Breakfast was most excellent and the breakfast woman had everything freshened up and was all over her job. Her efforts made me rethink the stay and I switched the rating to a good stay from average. The breakfast at our previous stay was awful and this breath of fresh air made our stay. She was aweaome! I've included pictures of the floors, the furniture, the stain, the TV reception and I didn't get a picture of the inside of the elevator doors which could definitely use some elbow grease as well. I would stay again, based primarily on the breakfast woman. I hope this hotel gets the message on some things that need some love and it gets the breakfast matron a little credit for a...
Read moreThis hotel was renovated after we initially booked our room. When we booked, we were to have a suite that had a separate room with bunk beds. After recent renovations (and when I called to ask) we learned that the room we booked now had a queen bed in the second room rather than bunk beds.
Upon arrival and check in, we got to our room and discovered the A/C unit in the second room was not working. Heat wafted from the room even with the A/C in the main room on full blast and the door open. It was triple digit heat outside. After calling the front desk, we were initially told there was not another room like the one we had booked (MONTHS in advance) available. The front desk agent then came back and said there was one available right below where we were currently placed and the A/C was working in that room.
After moving to our new room, we discovered there was a significant red stain in the main room on the carpet, and there was no TV installed in the second room of the suite as advertised. And while the A/C maybe "worked" in the additional room, it was in no way COLD like the air that would pump from the A/C unit in the main room. The door to the second room of the suite needed to stay open at all times in order for the room to stay cool.
The front end workers were courteous, kind and helpful. However, I will say that it was truly frustrating to not be offered any additional compensation or some small perk for the lack of being provided what we had booked and paid for. This was a 4 night stay.
Overall cleanliness of the hotel, quality of breakfast and...
Read moreCheck in went fine until we got to our room and it was not what we reserved. When I went to the front desk, she said "the rooms have the same rate code". No offer or apology, no manager followed up. We reserved a king bed suite with bunk beds. We received double queen beds with bunk beds. Some may say well you ended up with more but my husband and I sleep in a king. We do not do well in queen size. Because of comfort, we were unable to sleep together. Ok, minor BUT we should have been told ahead our reservation was changed by the hotel. Breakfast. Ok, i understand covid has changed how they can do Breakfast. But, the choices were highly processed, high preservative, horrible tasting prepackaged muffins, buns, rolls etc. Yes some fresh fruit, fruit cups, and yogurt were options. Why not prepackaged cereal? Breakfast sandwiches that could be served hot or heated in hotel room? Beverage choice was water or sugary juice drinks, no milk. Why? Milk cartons have to be cheaper then the juice bottles. We did not utilize breakfast after the 1st morning. The hotel was clean. Pool was good. We would go back but VERIFY our reservation closer to date. We reserved a month out. I had the email...
