This is the most horrible place in the state of KY. I was very good to everyone here. Didn't bother a soul. Minded my own business and babysitting for my friend who was staying there. NOONE had any issues with me at all until an employee wanted to stir up drama about me having 3 different employees approach and harass me regarding it. So unprofessional. I just ignored it all until this am when the 3rd employee decided to approach me and harass me yet again. I simply went to the main manager who does not know how to run tat place to EXSPLAINE to him. He was rude and nasty along with he other employees all of a sudden just IDAY out of he blue. And not to mention, they didn't have their elevator up to code and maintananced state law people come on. Because my 2 year old niece literally had her WHOlE entire hand sucked up into the elevator door hurting his baby badly. Lawsuit. When it happened I pushed the open door button perfusly and it was broke that even after I reported it they never had it fixed almost a week later. After I talked to the manager and let never planning on returning to such a horrible establishment again anyways, I get a call that if I come back on the property hell call the police on me. Smdh. That is not only judgmenal but pregatice too as well. Another lawsuit bout to happen now. I didn't do a thing wrong there but when I did try to stop he harassment from the employees I was kicked off of the property. I ask you. Do you really want to stay and pay your hard earned money in a place such as this one? Not me. I have too much class for such trash and do not not he time for such uneducated people. What it boils down to is my bff was in from out of town to train at her new job. He one my husband's worked at for over 30 years now. I saved this company over $2k by letting her stay at my home so they wouldn't have to pay a hotel room fee for 3 weeks. Then when she had to go there and I was paid by her to babysit so I was and had to be there. The dumb HR woman who has judged me SENCE before he day she even meet me. She acts and thinks she is so much better hem others and even though I helped hem he way I did, she just had to o and be her petty little uneducated self that she obviously is and call over a personal vendetta about me. Now given. She doesn't know me, never even meet me. Only going by ITHER people and not meeting me for herself. Not a friend I'd want o have in my life anyways, but she contacted them saying I couldnt be there. Well. I was a paid employee for their employee. It is sad honestly but if that's the type of person she wants to be so be it. LAD I am not like that. You would think after how I helped that company out like I did this crazy woman would have had an issue with me being there. I never bothered a soul not even once. I was he one being bothered and harassed constantly. But that call wasn't made for professional reasons. They hadn't a clue that I wasn't sleeping there just here babysitting. She made that call to the hotel to e mean and nasty towards me for no other reason but that she feels she's better hem EVERYOBE. Shame on all of hem. Only god can judge. Hey better figure out something that gives hem legal reasons to be mean hateful disrespectful HARRASSING judgmenal and predatise to me. Because they can't not. I did nothing but be great to each and everyone of them. But they need to figure something out with proof because I will be seeing him in court within the law suit I am in the process of filing for some discrimination. It's a major law hat hear people have broken and they need to learn to treat heir guest better. So no, I do not recommend you spending even a penny on this place. Their rooms are as much as the holiday inn and half the quality for sure. No pool breakfast not even good. Like mentioned in the review above me also and half the time isn't even being served even though you have paid for that service. Do yourself a huge FAVORE and go to the holiday inn express. Great place. better off at the roach...
Read moreReservation for a handicap accessible room (confirmed in email) was messed up and we received a standard double room instead. Checked in about 6 p.m. by a very friendly, helpful and personable employee (I think his name was Ben) and just dropped off our stuff, so it was when we returned later that night after visiting family that we realized the bathroom was not accessible from a wheelchair. The night desk employee said there were no other rooms available, but there was a public bathroom down the hall that she could use. Really!!? I told him I understood there were no other rooms, but I expected a refund of my $160 for the current night... my sister could not shower and had to get out of bed and go down the hallway to a PUBLIC bathroom every time she needed to use it. Along with the fact that it was a PUBLIC bathroom, I also told him how much more of an arduous task that is when you're in a wheelchair). I said we would be happy to pay full price for our second night if they could find us an accessible room. Despite all of this, he repeatedly said that there was nothing else that could be done (including after supposedly contacting his boss). After several requests for his bosses contact information, I received a call from the manager who not happy about being woken up in the middle of the night. When I explained the issue, he argued with me for over 1/2 hour!.. about how the room was rented, who it was rented through, what type of room was requested, etc., etc. (and that time is not exaggerated!). His tone became a little belligerent and he actually made a few sarcastic accusatory remarks. I was dumbfounded and couldn't believe I was having this heated argument with a manager of a hotel in the middle of the night... over $160! To me (the customer) it was a big deal... with both the money and the principle of it. Neither the front desk employee nor his boss made an attempt to offer even a small compensation. Obviously something went wrong with the reservations... his records showed one thing while we knew we reserved, not only a handicap accessible room, but specifically a wheelchair accessible room. Regardless of how this happened, the fact remained that we paid for a room with the only thing being accessible to my sister was the bed... and now even a full night's sleep was out of the question for both of us. The argument subsided as we came to an understanding and things ended well. Still, the whole thing was unnecessary and could have been easily avoided with the offer of compensation for one night. I'm pretty sure that $160 is a much bigger deal to me than it is to a large hotel chain. I will be gracious here and say that the next day when Ben (?), the friendly and very personable man at the front desk, asked how our night was, he was very surprised because apparently that is not typical behavior for the manager. Though he had nothing to do with it, Ben apologized and asked if there was anything he could do for us several times. He was the only positive part about our stay and he deserves more...
Read moreThe room lacked a functional shower; it only worked as a tub. I had to crouch down to shower. It ruined the stay. The front desk had an example faucet you turn which switches the tub to shower mode. It would not tighten in my room. I took a video. Later, when I wrote an e-mail asking the hotel for a refund, the manager, who would not return subsequent emails, claimed it worked.
The cleanliness also fell below the standard you'd expect at even a budget chain. We saw two large silverfish or house centipedes on the walls. They eat spiders. These were well fed. There was a fly in one of the clumps of cobwebs found in most corners of the room. The bathroom had mold growing on the walls. What was General Manager Harris' response to that point in my email?: "As for the bugs we are in a country setting and tend to have more trouble with the outside bugs here, however we do routinely spray for this issue!"
That's kind of like saying, "Don't worry; we prevent the problem you still experienced." Really, why would anyone care they sprayed if this problem effected their stay? Also, house centipedes only can survive in doors. Again, they indicate a spider problem which indicates a bug problem.
We bought a neighboring room that had its own problems including a shower that had no tub or curtain long enough as well as a broken TV.
Do not stay at this Comfort Inn. If you do, only expect a small credit towards your next stay.
Yeah, like that's...
