La Bonita RV Park — Hotel in Norfolk

Great location, only 5-10 minutes from everything you need in Norfolk. Sites look and feel new and the fresh, white concrete pads are so nice compared to the gravel most places have. Full hookups, no shower/toilet house but we don't use that anyway. There is a storm shelter in case of tornados which is nice. Overall great place with friendly neighbors and well-kept sites. I will say that the site number that was assigned to us in the confirmation email was taken when we arrived but we were able to get ahold of the manager and he said to just pick any open site to use. I think some people have had the same issue but decided not to stay when they couldn't get ahold of management. I would just say if you arrive and your site number is filled pick out another site that's empty and park. Things are laid back here, nobody will be upset. Hopefully that helps someone. ❤️

Addendum...

I'm adding an addendum to my review and lowering by 2 stars. The reason for this is that several times we ordered items from Amazon and gave specific instructions for packages to be left on the office porch but several times they were put in the office mailbox. The manager, who is rarely on site or available for questions etc, made it clear that residents are not allowed to receive mail here (which I've never heard of before as we have stayed long term in RV parks all over the country and it's never been a problem). The times our packages were put into the mailbox against our wishes the manager sent our packages back to the senders instead of just dropping them on the porch. It takes much more energy to write "return to sender" and put back in the mail than just leaving on the porch. La Bonita Park is a place where they are racist with Latinos. They gave me a 48-hour notice to leave without any explanation, and I had already paid my rent, and they don't give you your money back. They are thieves. Don't stay here. They told me it was because of the filth in my house and it was a total lie. You try to call the office and no one is ever in the office. No one answers. There is no one you can talk to if you have any problems. I'm going to show you photos of other RVs that have trash outside their homes and no one says anything to those people, but I am Latino and black and they told me to leave so I don't want this to happen to more people who want to stay here....

Went to Rv park around 2:30 pm on Friday. Could not find given RV site number or office. Called the office. No answer. Was told by other Rv’s to go to the “Host” office. No answer.
