Rodeway Inn Schuylkill Haven — Hotel in North Manheim Township

There is so much negative about this place.

.Coming from the south direction we had to make a huge circle to get to it. .There are no photos available (on priceline) of the hotel, its rooms or location. No amenities listed. Red flags, I know, but I didn't heed them for some unknown reason.. .There is no large obvious sign in the front to indicate where it is, only a small sign on a door. .When we arrived around 6pm the main door was locked and the schedule written there said it was open from 7am-2pm. Now what? There was no hotel phone # on our reservation to call. Finally someone (a cleaning lady?) came out of another door and said that the manager had left to go buy vegetables.🤔 In about 10 minutes he arrived and the check-in was (amazingly) smooth. .Our room had an odor, the toilet and other corners were not clean, a square meter of the carpet was loose (cut out and placed) and there was only one bath towel and hand towel for two people. Those were sloppily lying on a top shelf. Positives: I had my best night of sleep there of our 7-night trip in different places.😂 It was a great price. That's mainly why I fell for it. Should have known better. The 3 staff people were friendly although a little strange, not professional.

This was our third Christmas staying at this Rodeway Inn. Every year it has gotten much worse with neglect and 3 differ3mt managers (if you wanna call them that!) This year, 2024 was the absolute worst nightmare of all! We rented 2 separate rooms for us. No TV (at all...), No Wi-Fi signal, No chairs (not even 1), No desk for a laptop or eating, and 2-3 large, dead bugs in the bathtub! A disgrace! Naturally we switched rooms for her, and it REEKED of cat spray and urine! In the next room and all others, the water went out for hours, and she had to rinse off her hair color with TOILET WATER, to not ruin her hair for Christmas, family gatherings and pictures. Then....her bathtub drain broke and cracked in the floor....and flooding the patron below her room, of all of the worst things to happen!! Then, intrusions by 3 large, ugly men in her room, for Christs sake!!!!

It truly was a nightmare before Christmas!!! To make it all even worse, the rude, mean, idiot mgr "AK", was rude, obnoxious, mean to us for all the complaints, and actually THANKED us....for never coming back again. EVER!!! And trust me, we will NEVER go...

High speed internet?? What a joke. I guess that depends on what room your in. I had to leave the room and walk to where the road is between the two buildings to download anything. There is no roomservice, the phone did not work. The towl rack fell off the wall and the faucet in the tub fell off. Oh yeah the roof leaked everytime it rained. The first room they put us in they had to move us out of because the ceiling started falling down because someone above us must have flooded something out and the weight of the water caused it to crumble. No one working there speaks very good English either so it's hard to communicate. TV. Sucks too. The milk plant is right next door and smells like sewer and vomit especially...
