Making some changes to my last review: I'm putting my overall experience in this place. I will say still best place to be in. Very close to many beaches very affordable place. You don't break the bank 😜 and the best is very safe if you have kids. This is what I call it a family trip vacation you can even leave your kids at the pool and go enjoy some golf. I enjoy staying in this place every summer since 2012 we never had a single complain. I think the service level and how they maintain the appartements now is totally different on how used to be. I will rate this 5 ⭐ for my last visits from 2012 to 2019 maybe 10 ⭐ without any exaggeration. I'm giving 3 ⭐ for my last visit. My last vacation from Agust 2 to August 9th 2021 I wasn't happy on my stay. 1- The new owner decided to close an drain the indoor pool. And close the fitness center and Jacuzzi. Please note this area has a very complicated weather most the time is rain when it's raining we don't go to the beach nor we use outdoor pool we used to use either fitness center or indoor pool. Now is closed and we can't used it anymore. 2- the apartment I rented had a supper low internet connection it was below 1 GB when I used speed test called the front desk they haven't done anything. 3- this the first year and first time me and my family suffered from bed bugs we got bed bugs bites. I had to notify the front desk and they had to spry the room and change the sheets ect.. Anyway I would like to ask the new owner to bring back the fitness center and open the indoor pool and Jacuzzi. Also they need to make sure all appartements are supper clean no bugs. This year I was about to cancel my vacation cause I wasn't happy with nor my kids.

Update - Having played here a couple years ago, I came back recently and decided to do a more in depth review. There are three courses so I'll denote the score for each by initial for (M)agnolia, (D)ogwood, and (A)zalea. Scores are out of 5. Tee Boxes - 4 for all- Overall there weren't many differences between the courses, some of the shaded tee boxes especially were wet and had issue. Fairways - 5 for all - Green grass in winter months is always a plus. Of course since it is off season the grass isn't as full, but it doesn't take anything away. Greens - M 4 | D 3 | A 4 - Dogwood has some greens suffering from poa annua. The others are well kept just some winter/wet weather wear. Speed is at a 9. Layout - M 5 | D 4 | A 5 - Magnolia has doglegs for days, cutting corners is a dangerous game though since you can easily end up in worse position than is worth it. Dogwood has layups for days, you're either trying to not go through the fairway, or trying to stay short of where water comes into play. Azalea is probably the most straightforward, though it does a good job introducing challenges on holes you are willing to take risks on. Amenities - All 5 - There is a grass driving range, separate putting/chipping greens and a practice bunker. Overall you get a good deal out here. Normally I find it for $40 most of the year which is great. Pace of play could be better, but cycling tee times on 3 different 9 holes and not getting bottlenecks would be a miracle.

Just finished a stay and play golf package at Brunswick Plantation. The staff was great in all aspects, from booking the trip, the Pro Shop staff, and the bar/food staff. I’ve been the group lead on 25 golf trips. I’d put Brunswick Plantation up against any of the other courses/resorts I’ve stayed/played through the years. I’m now local to the area, but the rest of my team came from Virginia. My group applauded my choice; Based upon the welcoming staff and the immaculate and playable golf course. Thank you again for making our trip even better, we will be back.

A friend of mine got married here, and we were so excited because all the pictures looked BEAUTIFUL. The place is very beautiful, but very small. They paid for like 70 people to attend the wedding, but they only had like 30 seats out for the ceremony. So there were like 10- 20 people standing to watch the wedding. They also paid for the wedding director ROBIN, WHICH SUCKED!!!!! My best friend directed the whole rehearsal, and I was directed getting everyone ready for the actual wedding. Which this so called wedding planner came by and asked me if I was in the wedding party, SHOULDNT YOU KNOW WHO IS IN THE WEDDING PARTY THAT YOU ARE DIRECTOR!!! The bride kept asking where is Robin, because not once did she come up and check on the bride. So when I went to see if everything was ready to get started, this RUDE woman walked up and yelled at me, stating we aren't started till grooms mother is here. Then someone looked at me and said that was Robin. I thought it was a member of his family, that is the only reason I bit my tongue. There was question if his mother was even going to be able to make it due to health reasons, and of course I am not going to start a wedding if she was on the way. So then we come into the reception, which we did have enough seats! We ate a full meal at the reception that was buffet style. Reception started at around 5:30ish till 9:30. They were pulling up the buffet at like 6:00. It gave NO ONE a chance to go back for seconds. Then when asked if they were going to make to go boxes with the leftovers, since the food was paid for, they said only for the bride and groom. I am sorry but if I pay for food, then leave the food till either the event is over or all the food is gone. Worst part is they put plates in the pans of food and when we called them out on it, they brought the pans back out but you already put plates in them. NO ONE WANTS FOOD IN A PAN OR TO GO BOX THAT HAS HAD PLATES ON IT!!! Why can you make to go boxes for the bride and groom but not the rest of the party. You claim health code valuation, but if it is good for one it is good for the other. Then they were suppose to put the decoration/center piece in a tub the bride provide and bride pick it up next day, then at the end of the night they say you take it or we throw it away. They also paid a clean up fee, but we had to do all the clean up because they were too busy setting up for a breakfast in the morning. Then they got mad because we were still there cleaning up at 10:30. The only good part of the wedding beside the actual building and landscape being pretty was the bartender for the wedding. The drinks were on point, she was fast and friendly, unlike the rest of the staff. The one star I am giving is for her!!! Every time we asked any questions, it is in the contract. But when it came to what they were suppose to do that wasn't done that was in the contract, they just blew it off. I CALL BS!!! Honestly Teresa (staff/catering person) and Robin (wedding director) needs to be fired. I have NEVER wrote a review about anything but I was so upset at the way those two treat the bride and family, I cant hold my...

This was a family retreat vacation and even though there were multiple issues with the rooms and the staff, we enjoyed our time with our family. The rooms are very outdated, they could use much needed upgrades, maintenance and extreme cleaning. We were in room 903 and the big burner on the stove did not work. The broom and mop in the room was disgusting, they both should be tossed out. My mother was in room 902 and her carpet was very dirty, as if it had not been cleaned in years, one of the bedrooms smelled of mildew, no one was able to sleep in this room. My cousins were in room 909 and their air did not work; only to find out once my niece when to inquire about it she was told, "Oh, you in room 909, yea we knew that your air was not working for about a week". As my niece was talking to the lady at the front desk, she asked her co-worker, Teresa, if she could finish helping my niece, in which Teresa, responded, "I guess so", not good customer service at all. Why would you put someone in a room and you know the air is not working? Needless to say they had to pack and move to another room. Also, when my mother called and spoke to someone at the front desk about the banquet room, she was never told that there was a charge for the banquet room. All she was told that we should be able to use it from 9:00-2:45, as long as we buy breakfast. Well, when we arrived, it was a totally different story. We were told that we needed a contract to be in the banquet room and that my mother should have spoken to someone in banquet services, but again she was never told that at all. It would appear that when you called to inquire about a meeting space that you are told there is a charge for the space. It seems everyone is not on the same page at this place. Then to over hear the cleaning crew to say to one another “Do whatever you can to make it look clean.” Geesh, needless to say we will not be...

UPDATE: Regarding your response, it is disingenuous to blame the retailor in this situation. It was Brunswick Plantation Staff that selected the room assignments. The fact that you will not take responsibility is further proof that there is not a serious effort to resolve issues, especially when the mistake is made by staff.

Again, I would strongly recommend to stay somewhere else.

Management at this property needs to go. The property owners should demand better from this management group and specifically, the current manager over property rentals. We showed up with a group of 20 golfers for our annual golf trip. This trip was booked 10 months prior to the trip date so that we could be assured that rooms would available close together. This did not happen. The management team decided to book us across the property. Out of 5 rooms booked, we were located in 4 different buildings across the entire community. They might have well booked us in the neighboring resorts, because we were forced to drive to visit friends that we only get to see once a year. Effectively, this has ruined our trip. Many in the group carpooled together and this has caused a coordination nightmare for many in the group. Before checking into the rooms, I spoke to management to try to fix this issue and was effectively told, we don't care about your situation and WE WILL NOT FIX THIS ISSUE. The manager was visibly hostile to any resolution. He spent the 15 minute conversation rolling his eyes, blaming the booking agency and forcefully telling me that he was under no obligation to resolve this issue. I would strongly recommend that booking directors book at a different location, as this management staff has proven to me that they are unwilling to address issues caused by...
