Enjoyed our stay greatly. Hosts were easy and fun to talk to, well traveled both in the U.S. and abroad. Building is very new, modern and wooden barn influences. Rooms named after the hosts' favorite areas in Europe. Wengen Room (say Venn gun) has a barn door on overhead rollers to the bath. A small closet door actually leads out to a small and private balcony overlooking a wooded area. The Assisi Room has access to a slightly larger balcony: the Great Room between the lodging and serving areas opens on to the largest balcony, both overlooking a drop onto a wooded area and a creek. A couple of very nice Bushnell binoculars are available in case you spot anything interesting. Breakfast was more four star restaurant than anything you are likely to find at the best Hampton or Best Western. There was very good coffee, fruit, parfait, snacks, and then a most excellent breakfast. I could have spent a few bucks less on other places, but not with this level of service or complete quiet. Along The Edge is on the end of a dead end gravel road with absolutely no nearby traffic or trampling buffalo in the hallway. Or construction workers called out at 5AM. I heartily recommend this stop as your base of operations in the Milan/Norwalk/Sandusky area. But remember this place is available when the hosts are available. Like you, they have the...
Read moreThis is one of those places that I loved so much that I almost don’t want to leave a review (to keep it a secret). But, the people who run it are so nice, I want them to get business. This is the coolest bed and breakfast I have stayed in. If you plan to go to Sandusky (and surrounding areas) and you don’t have kids OR you don’t want to stay in a run of the mill hotel, this place is for you! Everything is so new and so nice! Kevin designed the building himself and he makes amazing breakfasts too! The only thing I wish it had was a fire pit, but otherwise it is perfect. Feels like travelers from Europe would greatly appreciate this place...
Read moreBrother if I could give more than 5 stars, I would. We were in town for a wedding and stayed at this absolutely gorgeous place! I honestly cant say enough about the hospitality showered upon us by Kevin and Carrie. Ive been to several hotels, airBnBs, hostels and flophouse... but this was the first true, bed and breakfast Ive been to. Your breakfast is made fresh by loving hands every morning, and the menu cannot be beat! Each of the rooms are themed to a country and by the time you go the game room should be ready! Again, if you are in the area... even if you arent, you should go out of your way...
