Interesting hotel. To be clear, this hotel is located in a repurposed portion of a strip mall. A little funky, but it does work. Rooms are large- there would be more than enough space for at least two pack n plays (not provided by hotel.) Keyless entry. You MUST check in online.
A draw back is that the rooms are so freaking bright, even at night. The rooms desperately need black out curtains. The lights from the parking lot greatly disturbed our sleep and caused our son to wake up two hours too early.
Rooms could also benefit from more towels, another bed pillow, and a floor mat for the bathroom. Room was clean-ish, but bathroom shower definitely had been skipped. Also, the room needed to be vacuumed properly because there were TONS of dead bugs like carpet beetles and grasshoppers. I ended up picking them up as much as I could to avoid our son finding them. I would definitely suggest the property management NOT cut corners with the cleaning.
There is no coffee pot FYI. There is, however, a coffee shop at the other end of the strip mall that is open Monday to Saturday, and Sunday 8am to 930am just for hotel patrons.
No vending machines and no ice machine. There are vending machines at the laundromat down the way on the other end of the strip mall, but that's not really the best at night time if traveling alone or with children.
Rooms do have larger mini fridge and microwave. TV is large and new. We had major issues with the motion sensor light in the bathroom. We could not get it to stay on while showering, so we had to keep getting out of the shower whole showering to keep turning the light back on.
Absolutely no smoking ot vaping allowed, which is awesome! However, our room was directly next to the smoking area outside which ment when the "bar crowd" came back to the hotel around 1am or so, we got to enjoy banging on our window, the side of the building, and three drunks yelling outside our room for half an hour.
All in all, I would really only stay here if the nice hotel in...
Read moreI was skeptical but pleasantly surprised with this unique staff-free self-check-in hotel. The room was very clean, big, and had plenty of amenities including a fridge, microwave, cordless charger, hooks, 3-prong and USB charger capabilities, and seating areas. The bathroom was cleaner than most Marriotts and Hiltons (and I'm a die-hard Marriott fan). The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is when I arrived late at night, the access code worked for getting me into the hotel but not into my room. However, my call was quickly answered and the owner said he would find me another room. After about 7-8 minutes, he called me back with a new room number. My access code wasn't working quite yet for the new room, however, he was able to unlock it remotely so that I could get into the room. Shortly after this, the access code began working and I had no further issues for my two-night stay. If I ever find myself traveling through this area in the future, I...
Read moreI am thankful that the Bevens Creek Inn allowed me to stay with my one well-behaved Australian shepherd on the way to a dog show - this place was immaculate, brand new inside and super quiet. I was quite surprised to arrive and find out that the "hotel" was inside of an old strip mall - and that the virtual check-in was required because there was NO person on site and NO front desk, which was just weird and unexpected (an elderly couple was confused and looking for the front door/front desk when I went outside because they couldn't figure out how to get in) - I also wasn't sure if I felt safe staying there as a single female with a friendly dog, because the place is kind of on the edge of town, and again, there are NO people around except for the nice guy at the vaping shop next door. It was just a strange and new experience for me - even though I travel all the time as a...
