I believe someone once wrote Motel Inverness has a soulful heart...and we found that genuine goodness to be true everywhere. It is welcoming, old-school, intimate and serene. The motel backs up against stunning Tomales Bay with unobstructed views everywhere. It was so gorgeous.||||There is a great communal room with comfy lounge chairs, a lovely fireplace, board games, a pool table, little frig/microwave, bird-watching lists on black-boards and a wonderful big deck for guests. We stayed in the California Quail room that was cozy, clean and had a comfortable bathroom and little deck facing Tomales Bay as well. The road noise out front is there on summer weekends but in the evening and morning hours, everything was relaxing. And anyway, aren't you out and about in fabulous Point Reyes?||||I can't say enough how much we loved our stay....and the new managers are gracious, friendly and helpful. There is an understanding to be respectful of noise after 9pm and when we were there, everyone was accommodating. The setting is for a peaceful time. I can...

Motel Inverness is definitely the latter.||||Last year we visited this charming little motel for our first time. Many reasons why we fell under its spell. Charming rooms with unique decor. Beautiful views. Zen-like vibes. A bird watchers paradise. Ideal location.||||We returned again over Labor Day Weekend. Another wonderful stay. The Main Lodge was open this time. So peaceful and replenishing to sit in this room and watch sunrise over Tomales Bay.||||We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the Innkeepers, Mara & Todd. Super friendly, down to earth, and helpful. We accidentally locked our car keys in our car at Chimney Rock, and they even offered to let us borrow their car.||||Can’t say enough good things about this place. Already looking forward to...
Read moreSecond time staying here. The rooms are very clean, well maintained. Very close proximity to the Point Reyes Seashore, and all the trails. Room with your own private patio area is nice in the warmer months to sit out and enjoy Tomales Bay, plenty of bird watchind. Stayed in the room with a view (pic attached of the view). This room is a basic room, and small restroom. No fridge or microwave. The bed is queen size, and not ideal for anyone that's tall. If you're a light sleeper this is not the place for you. The walls are shared, and you can hear every conversation in adjoining rooms. Unfortunately, last night was no exception and the neighbor had the tv on until almost midnight, and only turned it off when they heard us get up and go outside with the intention of knocking on the door. Recommend IP Market nearby for breakfast burritos and sandwiches. Most places don't open early around here, and if you want an early start to hike...i'd...
