Where should I start. Reservations are easy to do online and you will receive email close to your arrival finalizing everything including check-in process. Keyless entry for room. Telephone number provided to talk/text for questions or concerns. |Bed and Breakfast is located off highway 41 at the top of hill. You will see the sign. Just warning at night pitch dark on highway 41 the street to turn on you may miss it.|Check-in is 3 pm but we were able to check-in alittle after 2.|It was extremely hot and dry in Yosemite this past wkend(Aug 19-22), 95-102 degrees. Why mention that because our room was a sauna especially when we check-in, 102 degrees outside. We arrived to Country Rose room with Window open and vent was off when we check-in. I immediately reached out to the host and they were good on replying immediately. That is when we discovered vent was off and I had to stand on the bed to open it. Country Rose room we were miserable during the day. It was extremely hot and we were glad after 4 pm room finally was cooling down . Room has a jacuzzi tub/shower. Do not recommend if you have hip/knee problems or plain clumsy like me. You need to sit on edge & pivot to get in/out. Bed is against the wall so with 2 people 1 has to slide off bed.|We always bring our snacks, stop and got a sandwich for later and luckly we did. No social hour at this bed and breakfast. Next town is about 30 minutes from bed and breakfast. Nothing within walking distance. |Breakfast is a pass. 1st day we tried and it was subpar. Made me have upset stomach. Egg casserole with green peas & carrots. Never had peas and carrots for breakfast & never will again. 2nd day was blueberry pancakes (from a box just add water & cook) english muffin (not toasted), frozen hash brown that looks like it was heated in toaster oven. No flow to the breakfast. Just seemed no thought process and placed on the table. Every breakfast is cut up fruit (banana, strawberries & raspberries) placed in a bowl that all guests serve themselves, yogurt & orange juice. Sorry but need a course on cooking breakfast & baking for bed and Breakfast inn.|Caretaker sits with guest and has breakfast. We learned that this bed and breakfast has a new owners since April 2022.|Caretaker lives in the house, she cooks breakfast and keeps place clean. She is friendly.|Air conditioner is turned off at night. Spoke with another couple & they said their room was constantly freezing vs our room was extremely warm/uncomfortable during the day. The other couple said their room floor was uneven, a dip on the floor close to their bed in addition to wire hanging and fan in the window.|We will not be returning. Dont recommend. House needs major updates & is not...

TLDR: Do yourself a favor and drive 8 minutes south and stay at the Holiday Inn or Fairfield Inn We arrived at 3PM to a very cold room because they never bothered to turn the heat on, said it had been so warm. It was October 30th and down to the 40s at night. I text the number listed when we arrived to ask about the heat. No response after 30 minutes so we drove into the park. I then called and was told the handy man would have to come out. The guy that answered tried to make it seem like I was the problem because I didn't want the handy man in the room without us since our belongings were there and we didn't know exactly when we'd be back to the room. We got back at 5:00 and the after a lot of back and forth, the handy man finally arrived at 7:00 to get the heat turned on. The caretaker and her daughter are nice, but sitting in a cold room, eating my dinner with my coat on is not acceptable because they did not properly prepare the room. The heater being just turned on for the first time cause the room to smell all night (the handy man warned us of this) and every couple hours made a terrible rattling noise that kept waking us up throughout the night. We stayed in the Red Rose Room and the bed was extremely uncomfortable, pillows are flat and old. The walls are like paper... you can hear actual conversations of the people in the next room, not just murmurings. Light sleepers take note. The soaker tub was nice, but takes a very long time to fill up and is really loud if the jets are on. Basically sounds like a lawn mower is running the bathroom with you. At least the water did stay hot long enough to fill the tub. We did not have breakfast any of the days we stayed there. The place is way more rustic than one typically imagines for a B&B. The cost is the same as the brand new hotels down the road and frankly feels...

Great Location – But a Very Disappointing Experience

The only real advantage of this place is its proximity to Yosemite National Park. Unfortunately, everything else about our stay was disappointing or outright frustrating.

When we arrived, there was no welcome or greeting. We had to call the property manager ourselves just to confirm we were in the right place. Throughout our stay, no one followed up or asked how things were going.

Breakfast was completely unsatisfying. On the first day, we received an oily omelet, and on the second, breakfast was served without any bread at all.

The kitchen is off-limits to guests, there's no access to boil water, and cold drinking water is not available. While the coffee was decent and a small thermos was provided, it simply wasn’t enough.

The air conditioner in the room was extremely loud, making it impossible to use during the night.

The shower was uncomfortably low – I had to bend down just to wash properly, and I’m only 180 cm tall. On top of that, the soap and toiletries were not new, which raised hygiene concerns.

Cleanliness was below expectations. There were spider webs in the room. When I asked for a clean towel, I received a dismissive response: “We work hard to clean – it takes a lot out of us.” Trash wasn’t removed from the room – even when left outside, it remained untouched.

Finally, the swimming pool was dirty and uninviting – it didn’t appear to be maintained properly and we chose not to use it at all.

Bottom line: A great location does not compensate for poor hospitality, lack of cleanliness, and basic services that were simply missing. This stay had far too many issues, and we will not...

Upon first arriving and going through the check-in process, I was a bit confused. It seemed like the B&B might be new to handling reservations through Priceline. I entered into what felt like someone’s private home and ended up startling the housekeeper who was still cleaning our room. After spending the evening exploring the park and enjoying dinner, my wife and I shared a bottle of wine on the patio, surrounded by beautiful mountain views. The only thing I would suggest is adding some kind of mosquito deterrent 😂. We slept well—having a tub instead of a shower was different, but actually quite nice. In the morning, we were greeted warmly by other guests staying the night, and Dina treated us to a delicious French toast breakfast with plenty of other offerings.

A group of us were recently looking for a place to take our kids sledding, but many roads were closed due to heavy snow fall, so we couldn't make it to the snow play areas. The owner of A Bed of Roses called us back and offered his facilities for the day! We were floored by his generosity! Thank you for being so accommodating and allowing us to use your location for our families! The views were beautiful, and so easy to access the B & B from Highway 41. Thank you sooo much!!

We stayed here for our Yosemite vacation. Wonderful location with an outstanding view out our room. The accommodations were clean and well kept. The breakfasts were excellent. The chef 😎 has a rotating menu, all are good, provide for allergens, and dietary restrictions. The owners are great conversationalists and easy to get along with. Overall their hospitality was very good. I recommend this for any couple looking to get away to a laid back relaxing environment.
