Big Sandy Campground — Hotel in Oakhurst

Big Sandy and Little Sandy are about a mile before the entrance to Yosemite. I've been camping in Big Sandy/Little Sandy for 33 yes, absolutely LOVE it. It's real camping, no hook ups, no necessities, just you, what u bring & the beautiful out doors! Peaceful and quiet. Just a little too popular with certain groups who like big trucks, loud music from 8AM to 130AM, shooting guns with kids around and making a line at the pit toilet at all hours of the day. Left a day early cuz the big city life followed us to the mtns. Perhaps keep driving to little sandy or further to lose the crowds. Or try a weekday....
