Read moreHomestead Cottages consists of several lovely cabins/houses that was perfect for a peaceful weekend getaway for family and friends. Our group consisted of 7 families and we reserved every cottage available for the weekend. We arrived Friday afternoon and left Sunday morning. We are quite picky on where we stay, especially when it comes to hygiene / cleaniness, and we can say that Homestead Cottages did not disappoint. ||||Our cottage was clean, tidy, spaceous and very hospitable. The queen sized bed in the bedroom was perfect for the parents while the kids can sleep snugly on the sofa bed. The kitchen had everything we needed from microwave to refrigerator to stove/oven along with dishes and utensils. Easily made breakfast every morning before heading out. ||||We were treated to a beautiful light snow fall at the break of dawn, the grounds were covered in powdery white snow. We took advantage of this day and drove to Bass Lake (an easy 20-25 minute drive) and the children were able to play in the snow while the adults can take in the serene scenary of the lake. The town of Oakhurst is just about 10 minutes away if you needed groceries or wanted to dine at a restaurant. ||||The cottages were spaced apart just enough to have your own privacy, but also within walking distance if you know each other. The office was big enough for our gatherings where we all came together in the evening for dinner and games. The Innkeepers were extremely accomodating and couldn't have been better. Overall it was an excellent stay, and I would highly...
