Overall not a bad place to stay but could've been better. It's all about the small stuff really. My spouse and I stayed here because of the proximity to Yosemite but the main attraction here is the lake. Yosemite is about 1.5 hour drive from the resort. We ventured to the lake once but it wasn't really our thing. Being the middle of summer and a hot weekend, the lake was filled with boats and packed with people. The resort itself is decent. Swimming pool, basketball court, hot tub, children's playground, and direct trail to the lake. It does not have a fitness center like other Worldmark resorts. I had to get a week membership at Anytime Fitness in Oakhurst 15 min away. The perimeter was clean and all the units are townhome style, two levels, and two bedrooms. Upon first inspection of our unit, we were really impressed. Decent up to date decor, not too old...not too new. I loved how much space there was and the full kitchen was great. However, we noticed a few uncomfortable details after we got settled in the first day.

  1. Ants in the kitchen. It wasn't swarming with them but we killed about 20/day. We kept all our food covered and washed the dishes immediately so it wouldn't attract more.
  2. Floors were dirty. They're dark so you don't notice at first. The hard flooring in the bathrooms and kitchen needed sweeping and some parts of the kitchen felt sticky. I ended up wiping the sticky parts only to discover a severely dirty towel. One wipe alone made the entire side of the white towel turn dirt brown. I ended up wiping all the floors because I found it disturbing. It's as if the housekeeping had never mopped. They have carpet and I shudder to imagine what neglect the carpets have seen. As owners, isn't this what we pay for with the housekeeping credit?
  3. If we didn't use the water for a few hours, we noticed that gray dirty water came out. We had to let the water run for a couple minutes to turn clear before using.
  4. I mentioned a loud sound that comes on occasionally and randomly on the side of the unit. I was explained that it was the water heater. Motion sensors in the unit detect when you go into the kitchen and through the stairs. It then turns on the water heater so you have constant hot water. As nice as that is, it sure was loud. If I was sleeping in the living room with the Murphy bed, that would be really disruptive. I did mention all the above to the front desk upon check out. Unfortunately, we had to end our stay early due to the Washburn fire in Yosemite. I mentioned it to a front desk staff and she assured me it wouldn't reach the lake but we had been monitoring the fire and air quality. The morning we left, ash was falling over the resort and you couldn't see the hills because of the smoke. Air quality control labeled it poor air. Luckily I was able to get in touch with Worldmark Owner Care and they promised to refund us for the days we weren't staying. I mentioned the cleaning concerns but they refused to refund the housekeeping credit. If I came back to Yosemite I'd stay here again but if something better comes into town, I...

John the rooming supervisor ruined our family’s trip. Being in a premier elite family member for WorldMark more than 20 years, and never dealt with such an egoistic self centered employee, so proud of his job title. He judged my family assuming we were taking advantage during a late check-out. Couldn’t dial in to the office from the room numerous times and their office line before checkout , but no one answered, knowing we are running late (never happened before) and called office to request an extension for a late check out even if fees apply. He had poor customer service and didn’t hear me out before he demanded we leave and will charge another day. Which was fine for us to request if we can extend over 2 hours after checkout. Disappointingly, John didn’t give an option or an explanation about availability. Just an attitude of superiority and act as if he is my landlord. First of all- We made reservations 2 days before arrival and showed them proof of confirmation, but sadly didn’t make it on the first day. They couldn’t find my reservation in their system which they admitted it was their systems fault. My family and I waited almost 30 mins to get a room which the lady in the front desk was courteous enough and tried her best. She reversed fees and started a new reservation for us which was nice but I told her it was not necessary. I only requested upon check-in if I can get a late check-out since there was an inconvenience to us. But John the room supervisor said they didn’t have a room available upon check-in and did us a favor by getting us one. What? Was it was our problem? He said it is Worldmark’s problem and not theirs. Aren’t they WorldMark? I don’t understand. Therefore he stated that we are taking advantage of them. The lady upon check-in told me it would be all sorted out in the morning for a late checkout if I explained, and they should understand. One employee can ruin it all and won’t go back till he apologizes. Will contact all above him till this issue is resolved. I don’t want any other co-member to go through this again. FYI- Main Pool heater is broken this weekend and second pool on home owner side doesn’t have a heater. Jacuzzi could be warmer. Found employees chilling in our room before check-in, and have poor communication with each other. Management needs to check in on these issues. Worst WorldMark experience in this location, but great things...

My situation is still being investigated. I had made reservations at Worldmark resort. When my family arrived we were told Priceline/hotel beds had cancelled our reservation. The hotel staff and their general manager Mr Savage...we tried to figure out what happened and where Priceline had relocated my family but never got an answer. I was so stressed and cried. Imagine planning this trip for over a month, your whole family is excited only to be told your reservation was cancelled. I never received notifications from Priceline nor the hotel that it was cancelled. My family arrived at Worldmark resort after a long day in Yosemite National; excited that our room was ready. So, we can rest up and now can relax to enjoy the rest of our vacation. But it was cancelled. For the next 2 hours. The hotel staff Lauren and Mr Savage (general manager) was trying to figure out what happened to my reservation because we were over booked by Priceline and now had nowhere to go. After 2 stressful hours and me balling my eyes out... because my family and I had planned this birthday trip for over a month just to find out it was cancelled. My kids were devastated...so as their mom I felt devastated because their happiness was ruined in that moment and having to see their mom cried over the whole situation.

After what seemed like an eternity....I just decided to see if any surrounding hotel/resort had openings. I forgot the lady's name at the resort but said the pines resort had availability so my family was able to get a room there. I am thankful we can continue on with our vacation and make the best out of it. I paid for that stayed out of my own pocket.

Priceline still hasn't refund the cost at Worldmark. They want proof of the cancellation because according to them they didn't cancel us. According to Janine at Worldmark resort/staff/general manager Mr Savage. They've received notifications from their database that it was cancelled. This is a back and forth situation and me as the consumer is getting the run around and no resolution. Ultimately, I just want my refund.

My situation is still not resolved and my refund for this whole ordeal is still not refunded. Please, help me get my refund back. I will never ever do business with Worldmark nor Priceline. This experience was...

We had the pleasure of spending a week at the WorldMark by Wyndham in Bass Lake, CA. The entire resort was recently renovated. Our unit was clean and modern and the property itself—lawn, tennis courts, and swimming pool—were beautiful and well maintained. The resort sits just a few yards from Bass Lake—walkable directly through the parking lot. Our unit included plenty of pillows, towels and extra blankets. It featured two rooms and a full bath upstairs and a Murphy bed and half bath downstairs. The second room had two twin beds that housekeeping easily pushed together giving us a second king bed. There were multiple TVs—one in each bedroom as well as the living room. This unit comfortably accommodated 4 adults. While we didn’t cook, the kitchen was spacious, well lit and included plenty of plates, cups, and utensils, and boasted a large pantry should one wish to cook. In addition to trash bags the kitchen also had blue trash-sized bags to use for recycling (YAY!). The registration area was also clean and modern. The staff were polite, friendly, and accommodating! There was also a great selection of board games and movies at registration. Individual movies were $3 each per day (they also offer membership options to make this more affordable). While $3 was more expensive than the local RedBox the selection was far better, and the nearest RedBox in Oakhurst was more than 7 miles from the resort. The registration area also had a place to donate non-perishables goods that are given to families in need. I’ve not seen this at any other resort—so thoughtful and a nice option for guests who may find themselves with unused items at the end of their stay.

You can sometimes know what kind of stay you will have from your experience at check in. Everyone was wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. Loved our condo. Fully stocked to the point I did not need to ask for anything. Everything worked. Takes a long time to get hot water for showers, which makes me wonder. Our unit was clean, and bed was comfy. I am having back problems and appreciated all the extra pillows. I cook most of our meals and found everything I needed. The one meal we had out was at North Fork BBQ, about 15 minutes away. Great food! Loved that each unit had their own grill, nice touch. Pool and spa is well taken care of. Lots of games and movies you can check out. I chose this place because we wanted to visit Sequoia, about 2 1/2 miles, and Yosemite, about 1 1/2 miles. Because we spent our time hiking at multiple parks we were not looking for activities at the resort, although they did have a cute scavenger hunt for bears and Bigfoot the acclimated us to the resort. Other than that you are on your own for entertainment on the grounds.

We had one of the top best vacations at Bass Lake. Worldmark provided a handicapped accessible chair 🪑 to the upstairs bedrooms and bathrooms. This really was so beneficial for mobility within the condo. We were really thankful that this vacation place had this special feature. In addition, to clean, comfortable, and spacious living quarters, we were greeted with warm and friendly smiles from all the wonderful staff everywhere within the Worldmark facilities. Also, we had two different nights for outdoor movies 🎥 where free popcorn 🍿 and free cotton candy 🍬 were provided as snacks while we watched movies. 🎦 During the day, we enjoyed visiting the nearby city of Oakhurst, which had interesting and unique thrift shops and a really nice movie theater. We also visited three National Parks: Yosemite, Sequoia, and Kings Canyon. All of the National Parks were filled with spectacular national treasures and beautiful attractions. We are so glad that we were able to stay so close to all of these destinations. #Best vacation EVER!!
