This review is about the bad experience we had with the owners when we needed to cancel our reservation : we sent 3 emails to cancel our reservation, the first being sent a month before the date of arrival. As they didn't answer, we sent them a second email 2 days later and then a last one about 15 days after. Still no answer after 3 emails. We finally saw on our bank account that 8 days before the arrival date, they charged us for the night we had asked them to cancel (It has never been mentioned anywhere that they debit before the arrival date). As they didn't answer to our emails, we decided to send a text on their cellphone, which was easier for us than calling, as we live in France. They finally answered, saying that they didn't receive our emails and asking us to send it to their private mailbox. When we did, they pretended they had never received any communication from us, though we showed them we did write to the email address on their website (and we didn't receive a mail of no delivery when we wrote the 3 times either). They then "generously" offered to refund the money, but only if they could sell the room to other people. REALLY ?! WHY SHOULD WE PAY AS WE CANCELLED ON TIME?! THIS IS SO DISHONEST. In the end : we still don't have our money back, they probably sold the room, which we could never be able to check, and so were paid twice the price for it. That's how they make money from their customers. So be careful if you make a reservation in this B&B, as the emails seem to "disappear" when they need it. And be sure to get a written answer from them by any way of contact, well at least if they are willing...

My stay at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast was back in May 2018. I had more or less given up finding a Miniature Schnauzer (dog) friendly accommodation for our last minute visit to Yosemite National Park. All hotels in the area that allowed dogs were completely booked so I started to search for alternate accommodations.
I called the Sierra View B & B and talked to Lori, the owner, but unfortunately they were booked. She even called a few local places for me but had the same results- no availability anywhere.
Lori ended up offering to rearrange their home to make room for us just to make sure we had a place to stay! Wow, who does that?! 👍 🙂 🌟🌻
Once we arrived to the B & B, Lori and Bruce provided valuable information on a great place to eat dinner and directions inside Yosemite National Park so we could maximize our time since we only had 1 day. Upon check out, Bruce provided us with detailed instructions to get to our next destination-San Francisco.
I can’t begin to tell you how much this meant to me and we will always be grateful for Lori and Bruce's hospitality. Even though it was a short stay, it's a memory we'll share for many years. ❤️
Bruce & Lori, thank you again so much. We hope to return one day soon.

Read moreBruce and Lori are wonderful hosts! The view was lovely, the rooms were spacious, the breakfasts were delicious. They left our rooms alone (unless we would have asked for something) but asked daily if we needed anything and recognized that our youngest really likes bananas and not kiwi. Each morning they would give us a map and information/stories about the area we were visiting and usually Bruce would greet us from their balcony when we would return to see how our day or meal was. Also, their dog Maui is super fun and friendly, our youngest had fun playing with her! Sooooo much better than a hotel, worth the extra $! Lori has a book she's written about their experiences with starting the B&B, I didn't get it finished but there are some very entertaining stories in it. My only complaints were that the rooster obviously didn't like me, crowed| whenever I went by, and Bruce was bossy, telling me I couldn't do any cleanup (mom is on vacation too, or something like that) 😀 They have a saying "Enter as guests, leave as friends", that sums up their personalities. All in all one of the best places we've...
