The Garrett Inn — Hotel in Oakland

In 50 years of travel, the best inn I have ever stayed at is the Garrett Inn. Walking into the reception/front desk area, the air smells of beautiful vanilla. The colors match the Fall season with orange, yellow, reds, and browns. Leaves and turkey decor add to the accent. The versatility and creativity of the room by the owner makes one look forward to the seasonal change up.

The room is top notch. It is like walking into a country cottage. The owner's taste choices in honey-oak wood stained furniture and trim, cream-white walls with a light green-grey accent wall, and plent of choices for lighting makes for an uplifting experience. Everything is immaculately clean and in pristine condition.

The owner has exceeded one's expectations. It is a top rated hotel treatment bottled into an inn. Garrett Inn is not to be missed, a jewel of Oakland....

My wife and I stayed here on a whim when our reservation elsewhere was canceled, and we were not disappointed. The staff when checking in were very friendly, offering suggestions on what to do in the area. An assigned parking spot in front of the room allowed for ease of unloading. The room itself has been recently renovated (or so it appears) and looks absolutely AMAZING! The two queen beds and sitting area offered ample room for us. There is also a 12-cup coffee maker in the room, something I have never seen in a hotel room before (nice touch). Everything about the room is very clean and organized. The pricing was very fair considering the time of year we have traveled to the area. We will surely consider this place again when we return to the Deep Creek area. Highly Recommend! What a wonderful, clean and pleasant place to stay. This place is very charming and the owners were so pleasant and helpful. The room was decorated so nicely . There was traffic noise and you can hear your neighbors enough to know people are next door but it wasn't awful. They do have a quiet down time at a reasonable hour and everyone seemed to be respectful of that. This does not at all change our mind about returning. We had an absolutely positive experience here and were able to watch the sun set from our room window which was a plus. They had benches outside the rooms as well as chairs and picnic tables available for their guests to enjoy. We look forward to returning again in the future! Thank you Garrett Inn for such great...
