Riverside Resort — Hotel in Oaks

I called to reserve a raft trip for 11 on Saturday August 7, 2021, for 11 people, after already calling several other places. In the conversation, I asked questions about the policy of having to have 4 people in your raft, even if you are a party of 2, to which the person on the phone replied "yes, that is the policy on Saturdays only. Every other resort has that policy every day of the week." I stated " that is not true, but I am not going to argue about it" (I just floated on July 3 at another resort, myself and my husband. We paid for 2 seats in a 6 man raft by ourselves. I also called 3 other resorts today, and was told the same thing- this is the policy on Saturdays only). When I said this, the person on the phone did not let me say anything else- said something I don't remember then good bye. I called back and spoke with the same person, who said they were the owner. She said she assumed I did not want to reserve there. She also stated I called her a liar and said I don't believe her. I again, tried to explain that I was just telling her what I have been told. She then told me that after our phone call that she had already reserved all of her float trips available. This is not customer service. I was not rude, I was not angry, I did not even raise my voice. What I did was tell her that what she said to me was not what I had been told by the 3 other places I had already called. And if that is what it takes to get service refused to you, how are you supposed to be able to relax and enjoy some much needed free time...

I have been floating and camping this area for over 45 years. In all that time I have to honestly say, "Riverside Resort" is hands down, the best and most favorite place to come.||||I am also very surprised to be writing the first review.||||I have been to them all, boy scout events, college trips...this is the place.||||Very warm environment! Family owned, customer service at its finest and by far the cleanest facilities I have ever encountered.||||We love the cabins. They are so well kept and you will not find any other facility that comes close to the cleanliness as Riverside Resort!||||Camping facilities to fit all. Tents to large trailers, plenty of room for all. Riverside Resort is exactly that, it is a resort right on the river. River front cottages and everything is reasonably priced.||||We love the clean cabins and their outstanding amenities. We love the experience they offer on the river. We saw thee Bald Eagles our last trip.||||The best part about this great Family who operate the resort is, "No Noise".
