A Disappointing Experience at Martin Lake RV Resort, Biloxi, MS||||If you're considering a getaway to Martin Lake RV Resort in Biloxi, Mississippi, I urge you to reconsider your plans. This place, which audaciously calls itself a "resort," is more akin to a neglected, overcrowded parking lot for RVs masquerading as a vacation spot. ||||From the moment you drive into what could charitably be called the "grounds," the reality of Martin Lake Resort sets in. The term 'resort' is a misnomer here; it's a dilapidated, depressing sight. The infrastructure, including roads and common areas, screams neglect. The landscape around the park is dominated by long-term RV residents, many of whom appear to be living in conditions that suggest they might have been displaced by previous disasters, like hurricanes, with no apparent effort from the management to improve the situation. ||||The amenities, if you can call them that, are a horror show. The bathrooms are reminiscent of a scene from a post-apocalyptic film, with cleanliness standards that seem to have been abandoned years ago. The laundry facilities are so dismal that one would hesitate to even wash pet blankets there, let alone personal clothing. The pool and hot tub? They look like they've never seen a cleaning agent, to the point where one might expect a health department shutdown at any moment.||||The recreational facilities are just as disappointing. The mini-golf is in such disrepair that it's barely playable, and the lake, while a potentially nice feature, is surrounded by areas that are unkempt to the point of looking unsafe. The only redeeming quality seems to be the children's playground, which, oddly enough, is well-maintained compared to everything else, but it's not enough to salvage the overall experience.||||Customer service and management seem to be just as run-down as the physical premises. There's a noticeable lack of responsiveness from the staff, with calls going unanswered or responded to with indifference. When issues arise, such as security concerns (like attempted thefts), there's little to no action taken, and no compensation or apology for the inconvenience caused to guests. ||||The pricing model here feels like an insult. You're paying for what is advertised as a resort experience, but what you get is a substandard, almost offensive stay. The fact that they charge what seems to be a premium for such a lackluster setup is nothing short of robbery.||||If you're looking for a true RV resort experience with peace, cleanliness, and actual amenities, Martin Lake Resort is not it. Save your money and your peace of mind; there are far better places in Biloxi or nearby areas that offer what this place so desperately fails to provide. ||||In conclusion, Martin Lake RV Resort is a stark reminder of what happens when management fails to invest in or care for their property. It's a place that should be crossed off any list of potential camping or RV destinations, unless you're looking for an experience in how not to run an RV park. ||||This review is based on firsthand experiences and observations, corroborated by multiple online reviews...
Read moreThe stars are somewhat good because of staff and their kindness, they were nice, showed they cared about their portion of the jobs and wanted things right and better. I saw and heard some staff say basically they need certain things they use and more of it at their disposal. Owners go and buy it and don’t get a lot or enough and staff has to work with what they got and stretch it to all even if it only covers half. I cannot and will not call this place a resort, far from that. The beginning of our stay was nice and quiet for the most part. One morning while on our porch talking about things to do over coffee a live in from the RV side came walking his dogs to go to the office. The maintenance man was there they got into an argument about something and maintenance man shoved the other guy and he went to the ground. Police came it was dealt with and done. But still we were a bit taken back not expecting that kind of situation at 9 am. So quiet again for a little while then the long time renters in the cabins beside us came in. Some quiet and relaxed like us. Others not at all! With long time renters like that they’ll never have a lot of or any new renters around like us. Never been here to stay before. They really did help us on making the decision on coming back though! Not even 12 hrs into one families arrival, 3:30 am they were drunker than Kooter Brown ever thought about being and began fighting amongst themselves. Lovely vacation this is. Only one person from that family said 2 words to us and said the same 2 words but different situations was,”I’m sorry”. Still haven’t said hello or had an introduction but got an apology twice. So for us we thought about staying again because we saw work being done everyday. Until the renters from hell come in and because they have rented there so long they act like they owned the place themselves, were rude and acted like they hated us. If we rent here again it’ll be because every hotel and house is all rented up and rented out. I loved having the pool, lake, and ocean accessibility also loved how quiet it was in the beginning of the stay. Thankfully it was the last couple of days of our time there when all of the quiet and relaxation was chased away with loud and obnoxious. The best thing at this place is and was and will always be the playground. It was in great condition and kept very clean. Our kids loved it and loved it was so...
Read moreI came there to visit a friend who just moved in. It is so sad that this park looks like this after you leave the check in area. This could be a beautiful park. The sites are really close together which could be OK, But they need to enforce rules around there about cleaning up their sites. I took some pictures of this place and how bad it is. The question is would the owner live beside one of these? I guaranteed not!! It's not hard to enforce rules make them clean up their sites or charge them so much money a month and do it yourself. I'd be more worried about the refrigerators outside kids getting inside them or the washers and dryer's and the kids could get inside. Wouldn't like to see kids die because rules weren't enforced or because of the clutter. Trash bags laying on the ground with trash all over in front of their RVs dogs have tore up. Wasn't cleaned up all day, security run around on their little go cart and seen it never said nothing about it just drove on bye. Or how you can't throw the road because it's blocked all day by now where to park. If an ambulance or police officer had to come through they couldn't get through because I couldn't get out. I had to back up the road and go around. Which is against the rules are one Ways. But again no way out. Maybe the owner should come and look at this or that it should be attended to bring to his attention.
Remember this could be a great place, The workers only say they enforce it and they do their best to address it all they're looking for is their paycheck. So I guarantee when I come back every week as long as my friend is living in there nothing is going to be accomplished so therefore every week I will do something about it on here or get a hold of the owner to do something about it. Very sad!!!!
Here three month later, nothing has improved! Still trash ripped up by ducks and workers ride by on there gulf carts and not picking it up. Still haven’t washed any trailers. NO...
