Ouachita Campground at Edendell — Hotel in Oden

This was our second stay in the guesthouse and just as lovely as the first. It looks unassuming from the outside, but there is an oasis within. Soo many bedrooms and beds that everyone has room to spread out. The kitchen is fully stocked, plenty of bathrooms, laundry, a playground for the kids, and a great picnic area. If you enjoy reading, you’re covered there too. A whole library is at your disposal, as well as board games to pass the evening. It’s obvious that each room has been given care and attention to make sure every guest is comfortable. Even down to the plush towels! :) We enjoyed a few outings as well. The driving views are spectacular and there are many options for trails, state parks, and adventures. Queen Wilhelmina park was a favorite with a lodge and restaurant, beautiful views, and nearby little train ride. But most of all, the best advantage Edendell has is its hosts. Jason and Joanna are truly the loveliest of people. Thoughtful and kind, they will make sure you lack nothing and feel right at home. I have no doubt that...

We stayed on the glamping deck. It was wonderful! The hosts are extremely kind and generous. I was a little hesitant about how cold it was predicted to be (it got down into the 30s at night) but the hosts offered us heated blankets and extra bedding, so we were warm as can be. The hosts also specialized our stay with extra beds for the kids and a second hammock swing. We loved waking up to the gorgeous sunrise view, and my partner enjoyed the opportunity to fish in the two ponds located on the property. The house was exactly as described. I was a little worried about 15 people and only 4 bathrooms but the way it is set up made it work really well. A line of sinks in one spot, and a hallway lined with showers down one side and toilets on the other, all with their own doors. Eccentric is certainly the word for this house and we really enjoyed it. It was clean and had everything you could possibly need. The hot tub was big and worked well. We used the fire pit every evening. The owners were very easy to deal with and there was plenty of room for our trailers and side by sides. Plus they have RV sites close as well. Great trip!
