Camp Meade RV Park — Hotel in Odenton

Not impressed, but it is an option when visiting the area. First, the prices are pretty high for what you're getting. Sites are level but are not well cared for. Our patio area was completely overgrown in weeds, mowing throughout the park happens irregularly resulting in some of the longer term residents taking matters into their own hands and mowing sites on their own, and the amount of low hanging branches when driving any rigs of size through the park will have you up on the roof checking for damage. Crazy warnings about parking or driving on the grass because they're supposedly worried about it killing the grass, yet they allow you to set up tents on the grass for as long as you want which in turn kills the grass...Army logic? Also, the design of the pull thru spots when you first enter the park makes it so you have to backtrack down a one way street to get back to your rig. Sad that no one could see this when...

The RV area is laid out around your standard kind of loop. It appears that just about all the spaces are pretty darn level. There's plenty of room at each spot, and it's very well shaded. No worries about being in what resembles an open parking lot at this RV Park. The reservations area has very experienced and very helpful people working at it who work to keep their patients and explain everything in a nice manner. They also will give out brochures etc of the post so that you can find your way around. As for the park itself, it is well shaded and reasonably spacious. We were able to get a space about a 60 second walk away from the hard bathrooms and laundry area. Just about every space that I saw seem to be very level which is very pleasing to see. I'd consider this a great place to stay whether you have only a few days need, or in our case - more than a few days....

I had to work at the Post Exchange and there was a mix-up in the locations and I could not work so I had just rented a space at the campground for the week and since I could not set up the night before and I had paid for the entire week I stayed the first night because it was too late to go back to the office and in the morning I went in and told them what happened and ask for my refund and they would not give it to me other than 3 days they charged me 3 days worth of rent for one space saying that they had held that space for me Faithfully when they never held that space for me at all. Their customer service manager was totally unwilling to refund two extra days as a penalty for not giving enough notice for cancellation when I had just moved in 4:30 the day before not even 24 hours from the time I had to cancel to go somewhere else to...
