The camping was great I do recommend may be going later in August or September just because the Flies are pretty bad around July. But it was definitely worth camping along the tree line and then spending the day on the beach I would not recommend camping on the beach unless you were in an RV because the wind really picks up at night and it's easy for a lot of stuff to blow away even if it's heavily weighed down. And if you don't have an all-wheel drive or four-wheel drive vehicle do not drive on the sand- they do have a service that is free for those of you that paid for a camping reservation but it's best to not have to use it!

This place is awesome. Lots of toilets, lots of bins. But this place is made by people. And this is reason why I toke 2 stars down. Before when we open tent we had to clean our spot. During 15 min we filled half of a 13 gallon kitchen bag (lots of plastic stuff: spoon, cap of bottle, bag, next paper towels, cleans wipes, paper labels, some socks, some shoes etc. ). Water was good, gentle slope, good for kids. Stuck cars in sand were better than television 🤣

Yeah this place is perfect, if nobody's here and you get most of a full-blown beach to yourself. We were a lucky few who got to enjoy nature's splendor like this. Really a beautiful view of the lake and wonderful sun and weather. The water was freezing cold, but perfect. We spent two fun nights here under the fun trees, which reminded me of palm trees. However, thank God this ain't LA.

Beautiful park and lake with lots of space. Reason for two stars is lack of information from and no knowledge from gate staff. And apparently if you are a disabled veteran from out of state you are undeserving of any type of discount and are subject to paying for a two night minimum even if you are passing through just for one night. If you're a veteran and a Nebraska resident your service qualifies you for a discount and a one night option.... 🤷🏻‍♀️ Come on Nebraska get your house in...
