Owner is rude & disrespectful & there is something really weird about this place. I booked this room as a combination Anniversary/business trip. I had a 3 hour meeting at the college on Saturday, so I booked Friday & Saturday night here to celebrate our anniversary. I booked a room with a fireplace & a jacuzzi tub & was super excited to get away no kids. When we arrived they put us in a regular hotel room. OK, they made a mistake no big deal, I went back to the desk where the very kind lady working said I had booked a plain room. I told her absolutely not. She called the owner & the owner came in and informed us we only booked a plain room even after I showed her my reservation email. She got smart & said well i have one but it costs more. I said no ma’am, I’ve paid for a room with fireplace & jacuzzi already. She was obviously sick with the flu or something & she was arguing & coughing & this went on for 10-15 minutes & I was starting to lose my cool, so I said ok what can you do & she very rudely said nothing. Do you want to go somewhere else?! i finally said ok I am going to bed. We can figure this out in the morning. Slept terribly the mattress was cheap & springy & I felt bad for letting my husband down since he wanted a nice room for our anniversary. We had a nice breakfast there the next morning . (this is the one thing that was as described) and then went back to talk to owner at the counter. She said she had no rooms like I booked available & the closest thing was a double bed “but it costs more” I very nicely said No thank you, we will check out. She then yelled at me, I DIDN’T SAY IT COSTS YOU MORE, IT COSTS MORE! YOU DIDNT LET ME FINISHED! I looked at my husband who was like WOA. I said yes ma’am very kindly let’s look at it. She then led us to the back of the resort through some hallways & unlocked a door. Upon entering it I saw the door to the outside (floor level) was standing wide open, there was no heat in the room & it was at least 30° in this room. She said go look in the bathroom there’s a jacuzzi. I was already very uneasy about this & walked in and turned the light on, the tub had several 2-3 inch icicles hanging out of it. I called her in there & said ma’am your water is froze up. She started arguing with me & said no it’s not. She broke icicles off & attempting to turn both the cold & hot waters on saw nothing coming out & said, it’s frozen. I said thank you we are checking out this morning. I went down the street & booked a hotel with a nicer room for more than 1/2 the price & had a very enjoyable time. The owner never ONCE apologized for any of it. I told her it was an anniversary trip & we were looking forward to relaxing in a room with a jacuzzi & how important this trip was & she never once offered any remorse. My husband & I both teach HS & honestly our students are more respectful than this adult woman. I wish I had read more reviews before booking this place & ruining our time together for that first night. My time is valuable & especially when I get alone time with my husband. We only get to get away a time or two a year. I will not ever return here, nor would I recommend it to...

WangShi is magical. It’s a beautiful architectural home that is decorated in a Chinese theme and has many rooms. It’s a true bed and breakfast. The owners are kind, compassionate and so helpful with all of your needs. My husband and I stayed there with our 3 children. We were celebrating my sons birthdays. I asked if they could add a Happy Birthday banner and balloons in the room when we arrived and they did. I also added some stuffed pandas they had available to purchase from their gift shop. The owners added the pandas to the room as well. The banner, balloons, and pandas were perfect in the room and my boys were so surprised when we arrived. The location was so close to Frontier City, literally a mile away. The breakfast that was offered was fantastic everyday. My family and I stayed for 2 nights. A homemade breakfast was made daily which consisted of eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, waffles, cinnamon rolls, fresh fruit, coffee, and juice. We ate on real dishes, used real silverware, and had real coffee cups, which stayed with the Chinese theme, not paper plates, cups, etc. WangShi has a gorgeous porch to eat breakfast on daily. The back of the home has an area for kids to play. They had a play set, hanging swings from trees, even a hammock. The property itself is calm and peaceful. My 6 year old enjoyed just digging in the backyard. The beds were extremely comfortable and our room had a porch. The owners chatted with us daily and were so kind with our children. We will stay there again. We felt so welcomed and made precious memories with our family. It’s truly a magical place with old school fellowship, great food, and...

We stayed here a few weeks ago and the owner was incredibly rude to us. We paid a lot of money to stay here so it blows my mind how disrespectful she was to me. They put us at the end of the building and on the top floor, the staircase leading down and out of the building as well as the hallway was pitch black. We kept tripping and falling up and down the staircase. It concerned me in general but if there was a fire the exit also wasn’t clearly marked which is I’m pretty sure is also illegal. I asked her to turn on the light and I couldn’t understand her really but I could tell she was mad. I was really confused but extremely polite. I repeated once more “could we turn on the hallway light” and she SCREAMED at me “I KNOW WHAT YOURE ASKING, WHY DO YOU WANT IT ON”. I was so shocked I just started backing up and tried to defuse the situation. And she kept getting closer to me. So I just said never mind. And then she said she would turn it on and kept following me. I literally had to run down the hallway to get away from her. She did turn on the light there was no apology. Her husband just sat in his chair and did nothing. I have never in my life been treated so badly by someone running a business. And based on the other reviews it seems to be a common experience. If you want to pay thousands to get screamed at this is the place for you. We will not be...
