Fairways of the Mountains — Hotel in Old Fort

Will never stay at this place again it’s very old smells old so many bugs they say it’s the season but there are also so many dead bugs so that tells me this room wasn’t cleaned in a while the dishwasher flooded the toilet clogged the tub wouldn’t drain I had to call the front desk a few times I asked to be moved and they told me no I that I have to call the people I booked it through so I called them and was told it’s up to the resort to move me it was very slow here so I know if they wanted to they could have moved my family I am the only family in this area everyone else is in another area they said they would send housekeeping to clean bugs she came looked around and said she would be back and never came back also she told me the other room are better then where I was placed I don’t want to say it’s because I’m black but with everything that has been going on and how people have been treating us it seems that way there is more but to much to write I WILL NEVER BRING MY...

We stayed 6 nights at Fairway of the Mountains. We did not golf but the courses looked well maintained. We went to both the outdoor and indoor pools and they were clean and had good hours. The condos are set up for views of the golf course with balconies to enjoy an outdoor meal. We brought our food and used the furnished kitchen which even included dishwasher soap. We had the one bedroom unit which was spacious with a separate bedroom. Yes, the rooms are dated but I wasn't planning on moving in. The condo is very clean with clean fresh towels. The staff was pleasant and helpful. Lake Lure the lake is still closed but everything else: the golf courses, the pools, the pool snack bar, the Starbucks and on site dining are all open. The landscaping is beautiful. This is so much nicer than a small hotel room and the area is full of streams, views and mountains. We enjoyed our stay.|Hudson and blowing rock are about...

We stayed in Fox Run units 90 and 100. The reason we stayed in two units is because after the first night, the septic system backed up in the downstairs bathroom. They moved us to unit 100 because they could not fix the problem for a couple of days. There was no quality assurance conducted in unit 100 before we moved in. There were three dead roaches, spider webs on all over the back porch, peeling wallpaper, and the downstairs bedroom smelled of mold and mildew. They came to remove the roaches and knocked down half of the spider webs. I asked to speak to the general manager and was told by the customer service manager that she would leave a note for the GM....she never called me back. While staying in unit 100, we killed three roaches and left a day early. I would caution anyone from staying in Fox Run townhomes. We had a very poor stay and will never...
