Windrock Offroad Park in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, is a true gem for off-road enthusiasts. I've been a loyal visitor to this park since 2006, and it's been incredible to witness its transformation over the years. Back in the day, it was just a parking lot at the trailhead, but now, it has evolved into a one-stop destination for all your off-roading needs.
The addition of cabins, a car wash, a general store, gas stations, and food options has made this place incredibly convenient. It's not just a park; it's practically a little off-road village. The inclusion of campgrounds means you can extend your stay and truly immerse yourself in the off-road experience.
The heart of any off-road park is, of course, the trails, and Windrock Offroad Park doesn't disappoint. The trails have continued to improve, offering a variety of terrains and challenges to cater to all skill levels. Plus, the improved trail markers make navigation a breeze, ensuring you never lose your way.
What truly sets this park apart, though, is the community. The people here are not just fellow off-roaders; they're a friendly, tight-knit group who share your passion. It's a welcoming atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable.
Finally, the attention to maintenance and property upkeep is evident. The park is pristine and well-kept, making it a pleasure to explore. Windrock Offroad Park in Oliver Springs, Tennessee, is more than just an off-road destination; it's a place of shared experiences, fun adventures, and unforgettable memories. I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an...
Read moreFirst of all, was a fun place to ride. Enjoyed the trails. Although, I did not find that the trails were marked well, despite what others have said. There were many times that we came to intersections confused where what trail was. I found that there were 2 types of trails, moderate and difficult. Seemed every trail we went on had some degree of technical difficulties. That's great for those who don't mind the challenges. But for some beginners or casual riders, it can be a bit difficult. Especially if on quads. Again, my comment is referring to beginner or casual riders. The cabin we stayed in was near the main drag to general store. All hours of the night I was woken up by sxs traffic coming on and off the trails and some blasting music. I understand that trails at Windrock are 24/7, but 12am, 1am, 2am with loud traffic makes it hard to rest. We ended up leaving to go home early for this reason. Cabins themselves were very clean and comfortable. Staff was...
Read moreWish I could give it more stars. Reservation was easy to make and person on the phone was very helpful. I was traveling and camping alone. The camp spot was beautiful and the facilities were well maintained. Staff at the front office and gift shop were not as welcoming. Worst experience, which almost made me leave and not wheel at all was the absolute disrespect I received by the security. Rules and park policies are very clear upon check in and when you acquire your pass. The security was rude, yelled at me, asked me to roll down all my windows and if I had alcohol in my vehicle. Nowhere is it posted to stop and check in. He was not wearing anything clearly marked that made it obvious he was security. And seriously, no patron deserves to be treated that way. If the expectation is for people to check in at the trailhead, put up signage and make it clear. There are plenty of awesome places across the US to wheel trails. This was...
