The decor of the home has an air of formality, but I could not have felt more relaxed. Stephanie and her crew made me feel as though this home was my own. I stayed in the Crystal Room, which was perfect for a mother-daughter weekend. Stephanie, a local daughter herself, gave some great insight into the history Raystown Lake, and had recommendations for places to eat and park in Huntingdon, which is 10 minutes away. (This is a nice alternative to stay for parents of kiddos checking into or are students at Juniata College, and even Penn State University which is only 30-40 minutes north) This Inn has a lot to offer a single traveler, a couple, and even a larger family. Even though it has a decent Cable TV system, and impressive library of books and DVDs, and an unwavering, easy access WiFi, it's a great place to unplug to get off the grid. Except to go into town for lunch/dinner, I could have not left the premises, and been content. I was charmed by the entire estate, and I can't wait to go back and sit on that swing again. It will call you.

This place is sweeeeeeet!!! Staying in the Inn or in the .Stabbur house -- both experiences I've had have been top notch. I've gone once with my sisters and stayed in th top of the house in the Ivy Suite. It was, indeed, sweet! We each had our own bed, a wonderful livingroom space to hang out, as well as a deck overlooking the valley. So perfect for our get-together! And the food for breakfast was so so good. Another time my husband and I stayed in the Stabbur house. Love, love, love it! We've stayed there twice. We love the built-in beds, the beautiful colors, the Jabanese toilet, and the sauna. Each morning the food left for us for breakfast was fabulous. We went hiking up the hill right from the Inn, and nearby in the state park. We also had fun poking around the little town of Huntingdon. This is a great weekend getaway for us. We love the place.

I almost never leave reviews, but felt I needed to do one this time.

Traveled to Huntingdon, PA to visit a local company for business. Brought my wife along and stayed a few days after the business meeting for fun. Decided to stay at The Inn at Solvang because it looked beautiful ... and was very reasonably priced.

The accommodations and the hospitality of the staff were astonishingly great.

When we arrived, we were met by Kelly who gave us a grand tour of the Inn. She shared quite a bit about the history of the place.

The Inn includes a beautiful lobby with cushy chairs and couches and a big fireplace. There is also a "music room" with a piano and harpsicord. I play a bit, and Kelly encouraged me to play.

Our room was big, clean and well decorated.

Then there was breakfast ... Not exaggerating, our two breakfasts may have been the best breakfast I've every eaten! Ingredients locally sourced (farm to table). Served hot and fresh out of the oven.

Stephanie (our host for breakfast) actively asked what our plans were for fun, and called a few people on our behalf to set up some tours. She spent a good 40 minutes with us helping us plan our day.

Couldn't recommend The Inn at...

We took a trip to tour Juniata College and decided to try the Solvang based on other reviews. The reviews nor the pictures did the experience justice! It was, by far, one of the best inns/B&B's I have ever experienced. The house is gorgeous with grand white pillars and sweeping porches situated on a beautiful, tranquil parcel of land. Stephanie, the innkeeper, is a fantastic hostess who has a lot of passion for her job which translates into a very welcoming, relaxing experience for her guests. We were treated to cookies upon arrival with a quick tour of the property. Stephanie is very knowledge about the area, attractions, restaurants, and more. The price of the room also includes a three course breakfast (that is locally sourced) served on the original homeowner's china. Also, I was with my 16 year old daughter and she throughly enjoyed our time there. Even though my daughter may not attend Juniata College, I will definitely make the 8 hour drive to stay at the Solvang again when I want a respite from life with amazing scenery,...
