I'd like to share my recent experience at Timber Rock Lodge in Oneida, TN, which, despite being a brief two-day visit due to my schedule, left a lasting impression. The lodge served as the ideal retreat from work and city life, providing comfortable rooms and a serene atmosphere conducive to relaxation.
The accommodations were well-appointed with in-room amenities like a TV, a comfortable couch, and a bathroom. A standout feature was the expansive bay window that offered a stunning view of trees, mountains, and falling snow on a particularly memorable night. The lodge also provided communal spaces for TV watching and socializing, enhancing the overall experience. I must note that the local wifi was consistently reliable, ensuring the connectivity I needed. Multiple coffee and cappuccino machines throughout the lodge, along with a well-stocked continental breakfast. There was fruit and my favorite Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (that I might add was restocked after day 1), added to the delightful ambiance.
The lodge had a room complete with a variety of board games, provided an additional source of enjoyment. My experience at the onsite spa, where I took advantage of the monthly special and received valuable recommendations from Katie, who grew up in the area, was particularly enjoyable. I wholeheartedly recommend their spa services and eagerly look forward to another visit.
Within close proximity, there were conveniently located restaurants that met my culinary preferences. One night, I tried Mexican cuisine and, based on the lodge owners' recommendation, visited Moose’s Sports Bar and Grill. Moose’s stood out with its diverse menu, and I plan to explore more during my next visit.
In summary, my overall visit to Timber Rock Lodge was excellent. The rooms were both cozy and spacious, providing an enjoyable environment for relaxation. Stepping out of the room, guests are welcomed into a spacious multi-room lodge and an inviting spa. I highly recommend this retreat and anticipate returning for a more extended stay...

I rarely leave reviews, however the Timber Rock Lodge definitely deserves one. We were not sure what to expect since the lodge is a recently opened accommodation, but we were more then pleasantly surprised. The room was spotless with everything we needed. The bed was so cozy I didn’t want to wake-up. The grounds have many comfortable spots to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There is hiking trails on site which we enjoyed a morning walk and hike to the top of a rocky cliff with a magnificent view. There’s three fire pits with seating and two which use gas that you can cook over, which we were not prepared to take advantage of. The third is a huge wood burning pit with benches for twenty to thirty people. The most impressive aspect is the ability to host large events. We intend to book a family reunion in the near future, since it can easily accommodate our large family. There is ample space inside and out for everyone to be together or find some private space if needed. The owners, Ralph and Michelle made us feel very welcomed and took time from their evening to share the history of the lodge and the passion that they hold for the town and the Big South Fork recreation area. Even though we were far enough away from the town of Oneida to be removed from any commercial noise and congestion, it is just a few minutes drive to plenty of stores and restaurants. We can’t wait to return.

Read moreTRL is such an amazing place, and we are so happy we were able to book the lodge for our family reunion. Ralph was an amazing host, who treated us like family; actually he's part of the family now! 😉 We adopted him! LOL The entire property was just beautiful, inside and out. There are so many different places to go and sit with small groups, large groups, or even by yourself if you need time alone. Even with the weather being in the high 80s and low 90s, it still felt nice being outside, because of all the shaded areas; additionally, the lodge was kept nice and cool. You can tell Ralph and Michelle have put so much time and love into every bit of their property. Everything was beautiful, well maintained, and extremely clean. Our room was no exception! We stayed in the King room (#5), and it was very comfortable and so beautiful. My only desire was that I wished it had a dresser in there, so we didn't have to live out of our suitcases for 3 days; but all of the other luxuries in the room definitely made up for that! We especially LOVED the little white noise machine next to the bed - so much so that we ordered one for back home! Our bed was super comfortable and we had more than enough pillows and blankets. TRL also did such an excellent job each morning with the continental breakfasts they made available for us. We cant wait to come back again...
