Welch's Riverview Retreat — Hotel in Onota Township

While the location was very ideal, the space was not. The hosts had reached out with the wrong name and address twice in confirming the reservation. Upon arriving at the house, my friends (who arrived a few hours earlier) had to clean because of how gross and unclean the space was. They stated that there were large food crumbs all over the carpet and the place hadn't appeared to have been cleaned in weeks. we all later found out that this was true when the cleaning lady arrived the next day to clean because she was not informed about our early check-in. This speaks again to the lack of organization and communication with the hosts. The only space I felt clean in was the sauna which was enjoyable. Overall though, I would never come back due to how unclean this space felt and was. The pictures make it appear much nicer than it actually is. I will never tire of watching dawn break over Lake Superior while sipping the house provided Hawaiian coffee. The house was super clean with fresh looking walls and even the pool table had new felt! We could walk to the Lake Superior beach across the road and watch the waves or drive the short distance to Munising where the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is located.
