Our destination was Leslie Gulch, so this place was an excellent hub for exploring the area. We enjoyed our stay in the yurt, which came complete with clean and cozy bedding. You are able to lock the yurt and secure any belongings you don't want to take with you. The bathroom is located in the shared community building. This is also where the kitchen area resides. The kitchen area was well stocked with our cooking needs. It includes a full-size community fridge. You can also find complimentary snacks and other breakfast items here. This community area has air-conditioning, which makes it a pleasant area to cool off, relax, and eat meals. Their general store has ice, fishing tackle, snacks, and other misc items. There is river access on the property, and the views are spectacular. The bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels. However, it is the only bathroom for those lodging, so it could potentially bottleneck if all yurts/sites are occupied. It was a little hectic in the morning. Maybe separating the shower from the toilet area would help or add another bathroom. On-site hosts should check the shared kitchen for cleanliness throughout the day. We tidied it up a couple of times ourselves after a group of fishermen ate their meals. Also, double-check the outside yurt garbage. There was a soiled diaper in ours. Just a few little housekeeping items. We loved seeing the chickens, bunnies, peacocks, and baby turkeys roaming on the property.

Amazing time staying here last month for a night in one of the yurts. Took a day or so out here when we were in town visiting the Boise area and highly recommend making the trip. Super cool place and the animals were so sweet to see too. Amazing backdrop for exploring the owhyee area. We wanted to go to snively hot springs nearby but unfortunately the river had been running too high and it was washed out. Even with the high level river we had a great time exploring the area, hiking and seeing some amazing views and wildlife. The hosts were super helpful and friendly answering questions I had before over email and greeting us when we got there. Loved the yurt itself, fire pit, deck, and amenities with the community kitchen and bathroom.

This place is really spectacular. Stunning scenery. Laurie and Chris are wonderful, friendly folks. Laurie is like your one friend-from-middle-school’s cool mom who always has the best complimentary snacks. She even has homemade energy bars that are delicious. My girlfriend and I had our kayaks and Chris was kind enough to help shuttle us up the river several miles to drop them in and float it since we only had our one car. They were everything you’d hope for in a host, perfectly helpful and thoughtful where it counts but left us to enjoy our privacy and explore the area while having the comforts of their awesome little desert oasis on the Owyhee River. 10/10 will float again.
