First time at this State park. Arrived on a Saturday around 2ish. Surprised the park wasn't at capacity. There are signs that warn this can happen from time to time. Plenty of parking. There are 2 swimming areas here, the inlet which is shallow with little to no waves, and the beach side which is more wild when it comes to the water. Huge waves and it gets deep fairly quickly once you walk in. The beach area is more dune-like so beware. There's a pier for fishing and a tackle shop for your convience. There's a restaurant we didn't get a chance to get to but want to try next time. There were only 2 working showers located on the boardwalk going to the beach side. This was a little annoying but turns out we didn't have to wait long since most people don't use them. There are no showers in the restrooms but there are changing areas inside. Cheap to get in, 8 bucks per car I think. Most people bring their own food and tents and grill out. Super nice place to wander around. Lots of pelicans hang out there too. Only gave it 4 stars because of the showers, noticing a lot of the parks here in Florida only have 1-2 showers available everywhere. The inlet is an awesome place for a relaxing water day if the Atlantic waves are...

I have been to this State park for tens of times for fishing and photo shooting since my move to FL in 1990. And I have written review about how great this park is. This is however the 1st time I stayed at a camp site at the park. I had the camp site booked for 2 nights 6 months in advance due to availability. However,, my wife and I chose to leave after the first night. We were happy on flindng the site #12 which we booked on- line was pretty good on our arrival. It was just about 50 feet away from the water. The picnic table was just under a tree... and the bathroom was about 200 feet away... . Nevertheless, soon after we had sat down relaxing by the picnic table, we started feeding what we believed were sand fleas with our flesh.. . We had been to the inlet beach side and experienced the same kind of bite terribly, about 100 bites...on our body mainly on the lower part. The terrible itching lasted 3 good days. It was so terribly itchy that we could not sleep! We thought that since the camp site was paved with grits and it won't have the problem.. but we were wrong! Will I still recommend this park? Absolutely yes! It's still a...

I was really looking forward to this camping trip with my 7 year old son. It turned out to be the worst camping experience of my life. The area is beautiful and I have no doubt that the fishing is amazing but the no-see-ums are the worst I’ve ever experienced after living in Florida for 18 years. Tent screens, or any regular screens for that matter, don’t work to keep them out. The bugs are small enough to fly right through them. We stayed 1 night of a 2 night reservation. I got bit hundreds of times and so did my son. Bug spray did almost nothing to deter them and both of us struggled to sleep through the non stop biting. My guess is that 99% of the 5 star reviews here are from people who camp in RVs. We were the only tent campers there and now I know why. Don’t bring a tent to this camp ground! Oddly I was at this park a few weeks before with my daughter on the north side of the park. We ate at the restaurant, walked out on the pier, and swam in the protected swimming area. Not 1 single bug bite. I don’t know why the campground area is so much worse but don’t make our mistake of trying to...

It sucked. We come here every year and now they have new camp hosts whom, want to enforce silly rules. We have multiple camp sites next to each other so we do not bother others. The rules state we can have two vehicles 1 camper and 1 tent. Which we had done but the camp hosts complain saying we cannot park or set up the tents on the grass. Instead all must be on the gravel outline by plastic. Problem is not big enough to park 2 vehicles 1 camper and 1 tent. Now another row is allow to park on the grass and put a tent on the grass because the site is not big enough. Wait ours is not big enough but we are told we cannot do it as for another row can??? What kind of logic is that? This has always been a time for family camping which we have a big family now this is not family friendly. If I wanted to be on a 55 and over community I would not be going camping at the Inlet but instead find 1 of the many that are in Indian River county.

Sebastian Inlet State Park’s campground is a peaceful and well-maintained retreat on Florida’s east coast. The facilities are clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. There’s a good mix of campsites to suit different needs—some are spacious and ideal for big rigs, others are more private and perfect for tent campers, and a few offer lovely water views. In addition to your campsite, you'll find easy access to bike trails, fishing piers, a boat launch, and a small fishing museum and gift shop just a short walk away. But the star here is the campground itself—quiet, scenic, and a great base for relaxing or exploring. Pro tip: take the bug warnings seriously. No-see-ums can be intense, so come prepared. Whether you're in a tent or an RV, this campground is a solid choice for anyone looking to enjoy a laid-back Florida camping experience.
