Cobblestone Inn & Suites - Ord — Hotel in Ord

This is a nice hotel. The staff was friendly, and the breakfast was good. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The cleaning staff could pay a little better attention to detail though. There was soap residue still on the soap dish, a glass ring on the nightstand, and a shirt and pair of underwear in one of the drawers. My bill was $20 higher than my online reservation, due to more taxes than stated, and they charged us for the safe which we didn't ask for or use. They are going to refund us for the safe. I really wanted to give this hotel five stars. We really like the Cobblestone line. The good: the service, breakfast, the room was decent-bed was pretty comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The not-so-good: the carpet was very sticky...all over. The kind of floor you want to have slippers for. The exhaust fan in the bathroom sounded like a freight train and the fan was connected to the light so you couldn't shut it off without losing the light. The floor of the lobby was also very sticky. The pillows were not comfortable at all. Cheap $5 Walmart pillows at best. Would we stay again?...

My daughter and I stayed. From the lady we talked to reserving the hotel to the gal we checked in with they were both really nice and very helpful. The beds were really soft and it was easy to get a good night sleep. Breakfast in the morning was fresh, kept well stocked, and tables were clean. The room and bathroom was really clean no concerns. The Parking lot is well lite up, and we never once felt concerned, while staying here or while walking in the parking lot about safety. Will definitely stay at this hotel...
