I’ve worked in hospitality for years and usually always am forgiving with issues in hotels, campgrounds, rentals, etc. but this is The worst campground I’ve been to. If we didn’t have family who traveled far we would have checked out early, but no…still here. May change our mind tomorrow. First off… DO NOT utilize bathrooms. Looks like they haven’t been cleaned in months, and considering I see lots of other reviews saying the same thing, I doubt the staff even read these…disappointing. Bathrooms have feces on floor, overflowing trash with mold on it, sinks are black(not painted black but black as in covered in gnats), you do sit down and try to use the bathroom and roaches the size on my palm crawl over your toes. I counted 9 black widows in one stall. Second…Not having someone on-site is extremely frustrating. Park ranger came in a few minutes before quiet hours to tell our site and I’m sure others to turn off their generators, music and to be quiet. Here we are at 1am (3 hours after quiet hours) in our trailer sweating in 113 degrees with my 5 year old who cannot sleep because one group next to us is running their generator and another across the way is smoking weed(now blowing into my trailer btw) and partying it up while we were told no generator, no music and to be quiet…mind you yes our fe orator was on but it wasn’t officially quiet hours yet so we thought we had a few more minutes too cool off our trailer and we were quiet just watching my daughter play with her bubbles before bedtime.. I get it, quiet hours are for a reason and I fully support it. What I don’t like, is driving out of our site with one across the way blaring their music and you not saying anything to them. And someone needs to be here to enforce these rules. We are following the rules but others get to break them and keep us up all night with no respect to others, and no repercussions. Third…It’s also peak fire season. Sites have weeds and brush taller than our knees we can’t even get to our picnic bench. And when we do choose to walk through it, ticks galore. Oh and lastly…, boat ramp is closed…you should advertise that before we tow watercraft states away. Had to find another launch and pay additional fees when we picked this because it’s advertised that there is one in the campground. Overall, doesn’t seem family friendly, more like a party spot since there’s no supervision. And some groups trash the place. Saw a park ranger drive right by an area with 9 broken beer bottles and trash. Finally we cleaned it up as it was obstructing any of us to go anywhere. Honestly this has been the worst stay. If anyone read this through…I don’t recommend staying here. Day use maybe cause water is nice, but...

My boyfriend and I stayed here a couple of nights ago. We were the only ones at the campground which was pretty cool. However, the experience was pretty awful and it’s mostly because of the bathrooms. We went to take showers and we were greeted by a plethora of spiders in both bathrooms. I’m talking hundreds of spiders everywhere; in the shower, the toilets, ceiling, sink, everywhere. The bathroom itself was also disgusting with one of the women’s toilets overflowing. It was like no one had come to service the bathroom in literal eons. There is also no lake access for swimming at this campground and there are tire spikes at the exit for some reason. The water was also pretty nasty. I think if this campground were properly and regularly maintained, it would be a great...

*Update - Orland Buttes Recreation Area will temporarily close for the 2025 recreation season on May 19, 2025, due to limited staffing availability. Check Recreation.gov website for updates. Campground was clean, and had several dumpsters for campers use. Boat launch is pretty narrow and has a lot of driftwood and rock debris, but it is launchable for our truck and boat. The wind made us stay on land our second day due to the swells made launching not possible. Campsites are mostly adequate. Many of the sites do not have level parking, so double check site photos if you have an RV. No water or power at the campsites. Beautiful lake good for fishing and boating, we had a fun weekend fishing...
