This hotel is not well maintained and apparently has one person running it and caring for it. This foreigner (as it seems all hotel owners are anymore) does not honor online reservations. I booked this online with price line for $ 46.77 and when I got there he would not accept that and stated that he never rents a room on weekends for that price. I desperately needed a place to stay and eventually agreed upon paying $ 55.00 , this is a smoking and non smoking hotel but as I was sitting outside of my room having a cigarette with my coffee in the morning the owner advised me that I needed to go all the way out in the parking lot to smoke. The postings on there site are not current and the restaurant that the reviews on there site discuss seems to be a fixture that is not an actual restaurant at all. The owner is so cheap that the pool is covered at all times and the guest lobby if that's what it was has no air conditioning in it and he just keeps the doors open to let the flies in ,smells horrible and would not recommend this place to...
Read moreThis is an older motel, but has obviously been upgraded recently. We stayed for one night in room 215 which was located in a section of the motel that was only one story so we did not have noise from an overhead neighbor. There were other sections of the motel that were two stories. Our room was on the side away from the freeway so we didn’t have any vehicle noise and enjoyed a restful sleep on our firm, but comfortable bed. We noticed a faint cigarette smoke smell when we first arrived, even though at check in we were told that there was absolutely no smoking allowed in the rooms. The bathroom featured no bathtub, but instead a large shower with new tile, high showerhead and a curved shower curtain rod which has become quite popular. The sink, faucet and vanity also all appeared to be new. The room had both a mini refrigerator and microwave, but we didn’t use either of them. We didn’t have any shampoo in the room, but the front desk gave us a half-empty bottle when we asked for some. The attached cafe did not appear to be open...
Read moreI did not stay here but my friend did. She has been struggling with homelessness and once she got settled in, I called the office and asked if I could cashapp him some money so she could get some food. (I’m in Mississippi) He didn’t have cashapp but told me about Casey’s across the street. I called Casey’s and asked if I could pay over the phone with my card and the lady said yes. She went to Casey’s, got food and a free slice of pizza and came back to her room to find that the man working tonight went to the store and bought her food!! He left it in her room and called to be sure she got it and my friend cried. It was the sweetest most uplifting gesture I’ve ever seen in my life and it makes me so so happy to know there are such wonderful people in this world. He took time out of his day and spent his money on someone he didn’t know because he knew she could use the help. 5/5 stars. What a wonderful staff. We are both floored and very grateful for...
