Shady Oaks Campground — Hotel in Otter Creek

Very unstable owner and several unstable full time residents. Very scary! NOT for families or children. Be warned!

After agreeing to let me move in to a tiny home the day before he backed out. The day after he agreed to move my personal items he arrived and upset with his girlfriend he starting ruff housing my $1000 chair broke my Dad's radio and threw my $2000 mattress in the parking lot off his trailer all because HE thought it would not fit. Being disabled I rented the same size trailer the following day. After arriving at his site he would not acknowledge me. So when rent was due again I moved out. He never threw me out. He also put my RV where there was No sewage hook ups. Then another moved in next to me. Over booked? Lier, unstable, no regard for the law or his word! This is a SHADY operation and a Shady individual! AGAIN BE WARNED. Anyone with these actions is capable of Anything! Bipolar ?

Being a real man and Christian includes admitting your mistakes and shortcomings. NOT coverings up with lies and more mistakes. Truth Always prevails!

We have been staying at Shady Oaks for almost a year . Brett and Theresa are awesome hosts and are always on hand to lend a hand if needed . We are mainly weekenders and I would say we absolutely love it . The full time residents we have made friends with are fantastic good hearted people . It is a great location for hunters or fishermen coming into cedar key . The camp ground I would say maybe does not have “ kid” activities however there are/ were kids in some of the campers . We have been very very pleased with our experiences here and would highly recommend . The people here are honest, friendly and good heart. 5...

What a great spot!!! So quiet and natural! Being new to RV life we were so happy to find this gem!!! The family that runs it is fantastic! Janelle helped us on the phone and her son in law Bobby helped us so much! Even called after we left to tell us we left our water pressure regulator!! 🙄 So grateful!! 🥰 Thanks again will definitely be back!
