My girlfriend I went there, office said call for service, waited ten minutes then someone came down to check us in. We wanted to rent a canoe the next day went to the office once again no one in office so we called. Someone came about ten minutes later. The girl came down and said we have a garage sale going on that's why no one is in the office. 13 or 14 year old kids running this place. There was no pool. Basketball court in complete grass as well as tennis and baseball field. No lake to swim in, also No fish at all my gf and I were out there for about 3 hrs not a single bite. Bathrooms were disgusting. The property was not well maintained. The worst part of all we were asked to move camp sites to make way for a mobile home because they overbooked the site's. We went to the office and for the 1st time in two DAYS there was someone in the office kids tho. Then I told them if we have to move sites then I want a refund we were told they do not give refunds. We give rain checks. I was furious and stormed out of the office. When the mobile home came it blocked what little view of the lake we had and it had airconditioning so we couldn't hear our radio. We finally had a enough we packed up and left. Also stray cats rome the property that would not leave us alone. Not once did I see the owner or an adult running the place. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY...

We stayed at Kozy Oaks over Memorial weekend 2016. This campground has a new owner as of 11/2015. The pool was open and clean, the main bathrooms were clean and stocked for a busy weekend. They had activities planned for campers on Saturday which always draws a crowd and was a lot of fun for the kids and adults. They do have canoes and paddle boats to rent. The basketball court is on grass but thats were the old owners put it. Hopefully the new owner will relocate ot surface the area so you can play ball easier. The volleyballl court was a great time also. The mini golf needs new turf and some sort of excitement added to it.The lake is not a swimming lake. Overall the campground was nice and lots of trees. We would definitely go back to camp at Kozy Oaks especially if the new owner continues to make it a better place. For a campground with a new owner willing to take feedback and working to make this a better camping experience, he's done a great job so far since his November purchase. Keep making the progress.....we'll be back to see how it's changed!! Happy campers...

My friend and I were taking a bicycle touring trip up to St. Croix earlier this week when we found that we were about to get rained out. While eating lunch we searched for campgrounds near us and found Kozy Oaks to be 14 miles away. We called and left a message and headed on over. Upon arrival we met the new owner and talked with him about the campground and how he came to be the new owner. It was clear that he has a passion for making the grounds the best he can and we learned about all the renovations he has planned. It was a great time and he did everything he could to make our stay as pleasant as possible (even giving us breakfast as the rain made it impossible to start a fire the next morning).

I look forward to coming back and seeing what he has been up to, definitely worth checking out; he has only been the owner for the last few months so the reviews currently are all about the previous owners.

Also, we used the bathroom and shower facilities, no black mold and they were some of the cleanest I've seen at...

Not sure how I go about writing a “new” review for Kozy Oaks Kampground but here it goes. Once again I want to thank Doug and the other folks he has working for him at Kozy Oaks for wonderful stay. This RV park in North Branch MN is a gem. It is close to Forest Lake where our daughter lives and is super convenient to Minneapolis and other areas. Doug is an awesome owner and he made sure that we were very comfortable. We have a 40 foot fifth wheel trailer and he gave us a nice pull through spot with plenty of trees. He also changed out our picnic table for a brand new one right after we got there. Great neighbors to the left and right of us made our stay even more enjoyable. The pool area is really well-maintained, so is the putt putt course and horseshoe area. Super nice game room and everything you need to keep the grandkids happy :-) Thanks again Doug, will see you again next summer!

I was in the Trout pull up water and electric spot just for the night. It is next to the lake which can be seen slightly through all the vegetation. There is a porta-potty on site. Though I didn't use it as my rig is equipped with a bathroom. No wi-fi at the site. Only around the office. The spot is not quite level. The electric is set up on the one side and water on the other so you'll need to make sure you have enough hose to reach. I had to hook my two hoses together and it worked fine. I wasn't there long enough to have to use the showers or laundry so don't know about that but staff and surrounding campers very friendly. Lots of mosquitoes though given the area it's understandable.

Great spot for family camping. Clean bathrooms and outhouses. Family friendly. VERY inexpensive and the staff was great. There is a game room and arcade for rainy days. A heated pool that is clean and they have canoes and peddle boats to rent for $1! Yes I mean ONE dollar! I will definitely come back! When the storm came in they even came over to the campsite to let us know when it was getting bad and kept the arcade open all night for shelter.
