I made a two-night reservation for White Garden Inn back in September, to make sure my wife & I had a guaranteed room for the weekend dates we wanted in January. When we arrived, the Inn's owner (covering for his daughter & son-in-law who were away on a mini-vacation of their own) was unaware of our plans to stay with them over the weekend. Luckily, I always make & carry a copy of my E-mail confirmation sheet and the room that I chose was still available.||||After that brief bit of confusion, my wife & I enjoyed a comfortable and relaxing second stay @ WGI. We slept in the very large Butterfly Room on the second floor, and appreciated the new King bed as well as the space to move around & relax. The guest common space immediately adjacent was a handy spot to grab a cup of tea or coffee and lounge for awhile. The same level of comfort & accommodation are featured in the 1st floor sunroom at the back of the very large house, where we hung out before breakfasts & enjoyed watching the birds feeding in the garden. There's also a mini-fridge under the sunroom refreshment bar with complimentary soft drinks for the Inn guests. Breakfast each morning provided variety & fresh ingredients, and the conversations with the Inn owners (Katie & Michael) and our fellow guests from other hometowns were a nice treat.||||For the quiet comfort & country atmosphere not too far from town, we will return to White Garden Inn the next time we...
Read moreNO STARS ! Where do I start. This place is for sale and if you have any experiences with these "inn keepers", you'll know why. First, the reservation was made for wedding evening stay by the gentleman of the house. It was understood by him that the bride to be and her maids were to arrive early in the day to get ready for the wedding and have pictures taken. Upon arrival, WEDDING MORNING, female of the house was a nasty, disgusting, rude witch. She was clueless about the arrival of the party and continually yelled at them and the photographers the WHOLE TIME about too many people being in the room. She stated she would have never agreed to this sighting "fire code" violations. Of course the male inn owner was never to be found. Due to the ridiculous and unprofessional behavior of the owner, the bridal party left and got ready at the place of the reception. The wedding evening stay was cancelled but of course the new wedding couple were charged for the room. Please be aware that these people are clueless on how to run a company and treat people...
Read moreThe White Garden Inn is a hidden gem in Oxford! I happened to find it 4 years ago when searching for a places to stay when visiting our college aged son in Oxford. We stayed in a hotel during our first trip to Oxford and afterwards, I knew I had to find another option for next time. The White Garden Inn has it all! The owners, Quinn and Laura are so hospitable. From the moment you walk in, you feel at home. There is a mini fridge in the back of the house with beer, sparkling water, soda and wine. We love to grab a beverage and sit in the wicker rocking chairs while enjoying the beautiful grounds. The rooms are so quaint and have their own private bathroom and everything is very clean. Of course the breakfast each morning is wonderful and they always welcome our son to join us. It’s a short 3 miles from the University and I highly recommend it!! We stay here every time we...
