Beautiful new extended stay hotel located right off the tatamy exit. However, the address listed on most booking sites is wrong it is listed as 300 trolley line and it apparently is 200. But not too big of a deal bc there isn't much right there to hide it. The hotel was gorgeous, rooms were so clean. The cleaning staff was friendly and so accommodating it was unreal. However, there was one employee who I believe was a manager who was very rude to not only me but to other guests as well that I was able to unfortunately witness. In my experience with her she had been listening while I spoke on the phone while waiting for my ride, and I had mentioned a different hotel in a neighboring city that I know to have bed bugs. When I got off the phone she looked at me with a disgusted look and said "ma'am, are you getting a ride soon? Because you're like I don't know sitting there talking about bed bugs and..." I told her my ride was coming and I wasn't speaking on the hotel she works for but a different one. Then she proceeded to glare at me until my friend arrived. I unfortunately had to stay another night and when I checked in she had the lovely young girl at the desk call up to my room to inform me I had to pay a pet deposit for my ESA. I let the girl know that she is indeed a registered esa even tho the first night I stayed there the girl who checked me in had put it with my name. I found that to be very rude and invasive when I was told it was required for me to tell them what I needed my dog for. Pretty sure that's illegal. The next morning I was bringing my things downstairs to finally leave and she was going out to smoke and she said good morning aree you finally leaving? Is your ride really coming this time? I said yes and yes and it made me so uncomfortable I stood in the cold and wind for almost 2 hours, my ride obviously was late, and just to avoid her I waited until I thought she had left. If it wasn't for my experience with this individual I would have given 5 stars in everything. And I'm usually not harsh with service industry employees but she listened to my private conversation then commented on it, questioned my ESA even when I told them I could present not only paperwork but her registered license, and she made me feel like I didn't belong anywhere near her. I probably won't book here again bc of this. The other woodsprings in the area might be older but as a whole the staff is much more accommodating and actually pleasant...
Read moreStarting with a positive: the hotel is new and relatively clean. The cost is very reasonable as well; however beyond that, I do not have much good to share. Rooms become very bright in the morning if your room faces sunrise as there are blinds but no shades. Though I had booked for four people, our room was stocked with two towels and two wash cloths. No bathroom 'essentials' provided: no lotion, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, etc. Just a bar of soap for washing hands. Although we booked a double queen room, we found two full size beds and not queen as advertised. We inquired with the front desk who confirmed they were fulls and not queens, stating the only difference in queen versus a full is a few inches in length. We did not argue, but had stayed in a different hotel the night before with two queens and there is a noticeable difference. Fact checked on Google as well: there is indeed a difference in width. False advertisement. By the second day there was a horrible stench as we came down the hallway. To make matters worse, the smell had also seeped into our room. I am no private investigator, but it seemed to have been dervied from the dog in a neighboring room and the laundry room two doors down the hall. The smell escalated by check out and we were litterally holding our breath and gagging going to and from the room. No ice was machine available. Instead, you are expected to make your own ice using ice trays provided. Very impractical when restocking coolers when departing. Luckily, the location was ideal with Sheetz right next door. A previous review mentioned poor security especially at night with people wandering the parking lot. That has not...
Read moreThis review is dedicated to the manager, Ashley. I was on a business trip and booked a room at this hotel. When I arrived, the receptionist was from housekeeping, filling in due to staff shortages. She was friendly and tried to help me, but things quickly went downhill when she had to call her manager, Ashley.
I was asked to pay a $20 deposit, which I tried to do using my corporate card. It didn’t go through. I then tried another card, but it was declined as well. Instead of offering solutions, Ashley, who was on speakerphone, rudely commented, “If the person doesn’t have $20, what can she do?” She then told me outright that I could not stay at the hotel because I didn’t have the $20 deposit - considering that the room was paid!!!!!!!! She didn’t even allow the thought that there was an issue with their payment machine.
I explained that I was on a business trip, exhausted after a long journey and that it was late in the evening with nowhere else to go. She showed no empathy and refused to let me stay. She didn’t offer any alternative payment options like cash—just a flat-out no.
Eventually, I could no longer speak with Ashley and suggested the receptionist use my debit card, which was finally accepted. But by that point, I already felt disrespected and unwelcome. If it hadn’t been so late, I would have walked out immediately. The way Ashley handled the situation was unprofessional, rude, and completely unacceptable. She was ready to leave a guest out on the street over $20!
I will never stay at this hotel again!!!! Terrible customer service and a lack of basic human decency...
