I've never seen a more comfortable spacious living quarters in my entire traveling experiences, and believe me I've seen a plenty! Nothing Compares, well done, and done well! The owners gracious and hospitable ways are near impossible to find anymore these days, I highly recommend this place for a peaceful stay, if you're looking for Rural country settings without all the big city dwellings five-story motels with high-end prices? You know what you get when you stay there? Broke! The rooms are well done all with the story of their own to tell with personalities, the decor is amazing, and all up to date, and the common room also known as the kitchen, has all the amenities Grandma's Kitchen has! Stove pots pans utensils, even the dishwashing liquid and a deep sink, not to mention the box of snacks, coffee maker and all the rest, including a locker of clean towels and washcloths. Definitely a place for a family outing, seems with adjoining doors to other rooms for larger families, an outdoor common facility for cooking out and enjoying the seasonal atmosphere. If you're looking for a place that's off the grid and not too far from town which is about 3 miles away, with all the restaurants, shopping, groceries and the original old downtown Minerva it's worth your stay? If it could be rated for more than a five star it would be just! I'll be back, thank you to the owners for having such a clean and wonderful setting, and all your labor you put into it shows, you won't be disappointed here!...
Read moreI cannot say enough nice things about this little gem outside of Canton. I was in town for the Small Town Monsters Monster Fest 2023 at the Downtown Doubletree Hotel as a vendor. When looking for accomodations, I always look at reviews before calling. Everything delivered as promised. Rainie and her family are exceptional hosts and stewards of the property. The room (number 1) was spacious and comfortable. Having the small refrigerator and microwave plus a full kitchen next door for use was unique. If my son had been with me, he would of loved the snacks and treats in the kitchen for guests. Most endearing on the property are the trees, flowers and notes of gratitude on the walls in the main shared full kitchen. Years of delighted guests leaving their love for this family and this very special place. I also used the pool for my lipedema and lymphedema therapy after 10+ hours on my feet at the conference. They keep a solar cover on it. Due to the same, on June 3rd, it was 82 at sunset when getting in. Without a doubt, if Canton, Dover or anywhere within an hour or so of this place needs me, I will be staying there. I say this having stayed in a Comfort Inn in Dover the night before for a wedding. The big chains just cannot compare to the hospitality and accomodations at this...
Read moreI recently traveled from Nashville TN to attend my high school class reunion. I had my vintage 1975 Jeep shipped to NY so I could drive it to my reunion as this was what I drove in high school. On the way home, I set my GPS to avoid interstates and and hit the back roads. This last Saturday I had the pleasure of finding this Motel, which was built in 1957. It is so unique, like stepping back in time. Each room had their own attached garage! Never seen anything like it. My room was spacious and decorated with old car memorabilia, perfect for a car guy like me. The owners Earl and Rainie couldn't have been nicer, treated me like family. After a long hot day driving my Jeep with the top down, the late night swim in the pool, which I had all to myself, felt fantastic. This place is definitely unique, and a great price as well. I hope to visit...
